This is such a random joke but I found it really funny so. it’s your problem now.

Just finished listening to all the demo versions of bttfm and I have some thoughts

- I really love the demo version of it’s only a matter of time, I think it’s really funny how Marty’s so realistic about his future

- the it works demo is definitely.. something! especially the part where all the scientists he had up on his wall just show up and start singing?? little weird

- Biff has a backstory? I kind of enjoyed both of his songs, real bangers, and honestly I kind of like the fact they gave him a little motivation and backstory, even though it’s just that he used to be fat (his words not mine)

- All of the doc songs are pretty similar to in the actual musical, still bops though , I liked connections quite a bit

- when your really cool is basically the same as put your mind to it except I feel like it sends a completely different message and it’s just like "George became successful not because he put his mind to it but because he was cool" which is.. questionable. And the chorus just feels so off idk

okay I need to rant about Jennifer, especially the musical version because wherever we’re going is ICKING ME OUT.

It feels like she’s written to be Marty’s girl, and only Marty’s girl and it’s so gross ..

like some of these lyrics are so ewww

here I’ll rant now

"I know you better than anyone-" I thought the whole point of doc and Marty’s friendship was that they were besties. They knew eachother best. Maybe romantically, she does, but I feel like that’s kind of weird idk

"you belong to me" WHAT. WHAT DO YOU MEAN. I feel like I don’t need to elaborate.

"Youre everything to me" I feel like you have people in your life, like your family other than Marty Jennifer.. the way they wrote this whole song makes Jennifer feel like a manipulator and then she like never shows up again basically

I’m not even gonna start on how much I think 21st century is quite outta character for doc but.

I love this musical so much it just irks me sometimes
