More of my Jewish Bruce Wayne series. Did I only come out with the last comic in this series only slightly over a week ago? Yes. And in that short time did I already manage to change my palette for Damian. Also yes. In my defense, I did not mean to give him black hair in the last comic, I was just coloring in Bruce's hair, and automatically started coloring Damian's hair that color too.
Anyway, you can thank the Magnus Archives for this comic coming so quickly. I started listening to it yesterday, and there's limited things I can do while listening to podcasts, so I started this yesterday too.
This series doesn't have a particular order to it, other than the comic I plan to make last (who knows if it will actually work out that way). Anyway, I just wanted to show Martha's culture being passed down through the generations. I am not, however, trying to suggest in anyway that Dick is Damian's dad. Maybe they sort of have that relationship, I don't know, but I mean in the very literal sense they are not father and son. Also, bubala translates to "sweetheart" and therefore can totally be used between siblings.
In case there is anybody not in the know, bubala is a Yiddish term of endearment. Just be careful that you don't spell it wrong and accidentally talk about someone's grandma instead (took me a few tries to figure out the correct spelling).
part 1
[Image Description: Comic of members of Batfamily calling each other bubala at different times.
Martha, to young Bruce Wayne: You look very handsome, bubala.
Bruce, to Dick who's sleeping in bed: Sleep tight, bubala.
Dick, messing with (an annoyed) Damian's hair: Good work, bubala.
