Want to be as disappointed as me? When I watched episode 10 I was kind of ecstatic but also kind of sceptical! 

So, we’ve kind of been teased for a while about the Victuuri relationship haven’t we?

So, Yuuri bought them rings. Matching golden rings. Now at first I was like HOLY MOLY HE TOOK THE INITIATIVE and was basically squeeing and almost hyperventilating (as I’m sure some of you can relate to).

Then there was the group meeting at the end...and Yuuri DESPITE BUYING AN ITEM OF JEWELRY THAT’S HARDLY CONSPICUOUS still insists it’s just a thank you gift...Why would he do that if it was really an engagement/wedding ring? Surely he’d just kinda blush and say ‘thanks’? Or something like that anyway. 

AND THEN I REALISED SOMETHING. 

After I’d watched the episode I obviously decided to quietly stalk Tumblr and people had already got gifs up when *heart skips a beat*

I noticed they’d put their rings on the right ring finger, not the left. I then wondered why that seemed vaguely familiar to me. I then proceeded to have a flashback (to about 10 years ago which is quite a feat for me) to a manga I read called Only the Ring Finger Knows. I then also proceeded to get a sinking feeling of ‘I think I know the answer but I don’t want to acknowledge it’ moment.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t something that happens in real life but in this particular manga (set in a highschool), wearing paired rings is significant. Basically everyone buys a set of paired rings. A ring on the right middle finger means they’re single, matching rings on the left ring finger means they’re a committed couple, and matching rings on the right hand is a sign of friendship (like friendship bracelets I guess where you only have them for your ultimate bestie)....This is where I started pouting.

I know it might not mean anything to Yuri on Ice, it’s not been written by the same person or anything, like I said I’m merely sceptical and there’s really far too much teasing!

This morning i was talking to my white republican dad and he was saying that banning semiautomatic rifles is a dumb idea because there are riots going on. I was confused because i thought he meant that if the police get too oppressive we might have to take things into our own hands or something, but he clarified, saying riots in Ferguson attacked first by "breaking windows and vandalizing buildings" and such. He refused to believe me when i said they weren't doing that and police were instigating unnecessary violence. I said they're rioting because an innocent, unarmed boy was killed by a police and his legitimate response was "thats no reason to start a riot."
