progress on writing and designinf is going awesome i feel like ice king getting fiona and cake beamed into his mind

hopefully i'll be getting this pizza hut job so i dont have to spend most of my time looking for jobs and stressing anymore

plus i'll be able to start college too! which'll be AWESOME

How is your audience supposed to not infantilize your oc if your ocs purpose is to be infantilized

im not entirely sure where you got that his purpose is to be infantilized but it just isn't? he infantilizes himself sometimes if it'd benefit him in a situation, he's a manipulator at heart

he won't always have this uwu soft boy cinnamon roll facade he puts on in the comic, he has plenty of personalities he made to use in front of specific people and groups in order to befriend them

i think i can get where the confusion could come from but his purpose, as a character, is to show the side effects of neglecting your mental health, the harm certain ways of viewing mental health can have, along with some societal commentary and how therapy is demonized, especially here in the south

maybe you read an old post when i was still figuring him out. if the post doesnt have the tags the pinned one has then consider it unrelated or retconned.

What is Patchwork Heart?

Buddy is one messed up lil guy. This media is not meant to romanticize or justify these behaviors and topics, nor do I want them to be romanticized or justified even if its fiction. The comic is a story in the perspective of the killer, inspired by medias like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees.

They're both medias focused on the killers, giving us a view into their work and mindsets but never outright giving their motives.

We follow Buddy, a kind man who loves to travel, make friends, help the community, and partake in some light gardening to bake treats to share.

Buddy's motives are planned to be revealed but only after a while. Its a longer story that rewards patience and utilizes suspense and smaller, ambient horror before hitting you with the scare.

So if you like horror that focuses on psychology, topics about society, and other fun spooky things, then I ask you to give it a try!

Like I mentioned above, the comic is planned to delve into some pretty heavy and mature topics but each chapter where a warning is needed will have one at the start. Nothing sexually explicit will be depictied either, as I'm not comfortable with drawing such things, mostly just mentioned or hinted at. If you still have to skip the comic, or portion of it, a summary of whats important is provided at the bottom so you aren't left out of the story. (TY to Vylet Pony who did that for the Monarch of Monster's book.)
