Cheesy Ground Beef and Potatoes Recipe
Stovetop smoked sausage jambalaya rice
Cheap and super easy to make, this lunch or dinner is one of my favorites to have as leftovers for the next few days. You will need a cover for your pan.
Ingredients:
Smoked (Andouille) sausage
Diced onion
Diced green bell pepper
Diced celery
1 box of jambalaya rice
Directions:
Cut up the smoked sausage into small bites. Place in a pan with cooking oil and fry until they turn slightly brown.
Dice your onion, bell pepper, and celery, then add all the vegetables and the jambalaya rice to the sausage in the pan. Mix together so it all cooks evenly.
Add water. Bring it to a boil, then cover and let everything simmer for about ~25 minutes.
Once the rice has absorbed the water, plate your dish and save some for leftovers tomorrow.

Picked up some great little planters from the Salvation Army in Cody, WY the other day. $3 a piece, brand new.
Planting some of my Family Dollar seeds today.
My favourite online trend right now (by "favourite" I mean, I wanna fucking murder someone every time I see it) is people complaining about macrobiotics on budget friendly cooking videos
Like I saw a video of a lady making a meal for four people for under $10… And the comments were all talking about vitamins and fibre and protein and blah blah blah
And it's like… Calories. That's the point of food. You need enough in your body to survive another day. And a lot of people aren't getting that right now because of the world is awful.
And if you have the luxury of worrying about how much protein is in your meal and whether or not you're getting enough zinc, good on you, but you gotta fucking realize that for a lot of people, the struggle right now is just having a full belly. And a meal that ranks at $2.50 a person and still fills you up is a fucking godsend for a lot of people
So shut the fuck up about your goddamn vitamins and shit.

stop buying animal products ($10 for a single meal vs $10 for months worth of beans) + benefit of saving planet
use wash cloths for wiping urine + benefit of saving planet.
get a menstrual cup or panties. yes, even if you have a heavy flow.. the chemicals in tampons and pads leads to heavier, more painful, and smellier periods. +benefit of saving planet.
shampoo bars, lasts way longer + benefit of saving planet.
stop buying name brand
stop buying makeup + benefit of saving planet
stop buying nail polish + benefit of saving planet
stop buying synthetic clothes. + benefit of saving planet

hang clothes to dry, even if you don't have an outdoor area. hang in the windows, by fireplaces, by heaters and ac units. + benefit of saving planet
stop buying niche chemical products. for almost every single cleaning situation you only need soap, baking soda, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and bleach. this goes for gout removal, rust removal, urine removal, window cleaner, sanitizing wipes, literally every single thing. + benefit of saving planet
repurpose old clothes and towels by making them into wash cloths and oven mitts.
stop buying from shein, temu, amazon, and using afterpay. (im not demonizing pay later. i utilize it all the time. I've just found a lot of people who do use these payment methods treat it like a 'buy now, pay NEVER' option and are surprised when it fucks them over)
remember this any time someone tries to tell you being eco friendly isn't affordable.
know what really isnt affordable? buying disposable products every week.
