This particular list I am using is from IMDB’s User Rankings and their lowest ten. (Which like, to be fair, I do not consider imdb to be a good way of ranking anything ever, as people there typically rank everything based on hype moments and Aura, not to mention all the review-bombing debacles) But I think it works at least as an inte way to see the general consensus.
I find it a little difficult to rank the Bad episodes of Buffy (partly because I love it so much), but also because like, the things I consider bad are usually bad in such different ways. Like, I have a lot of issues with season 7, I think that season is the worst, but I don’t really think I’d say any one episode (maybe except Him) is bad Overall. Each individual episode is not necessarily bad, my issues come more with the season arc put together, the episodes being repetitive or boring, characters being out of character, etc etc. While with the Bad episodes of seasons 3-6, these famously worst episodes like Beer Bad, Where the Wild Things Are, Doublemeat Palace, I just can’t hate them because I just enjoy the characters and would love watching their dynamics or interactions no matter what the plot of a particular episode is. Which is kinda my issue with the Bad episodes of seasons 1 and 2. I feel like because the show was still starting out, and the writers hadn’t gotten as good of a grasp on the characters yet (for example I typically enjoy Xander more than others do but I find the season 1 his crush on Buffy arc to be more boring/irritating), so I just find the bad early episodes harder to enjoy than the bad later ones. Even if the story of a late season episode is dull or silly, they usually do more to develop the characters and overall plot than the early ones.
Anyway of these my vote is Teacher’s Pet (except I voted for Go Fish cause I’m an idiot)
