RAGHHH DND CHARACTER JUMPSCARE !!!!!!

lowk this was finished kinda lazily BUT !!! look at her look at my GIRL !!! This is Morrigan, my bugbear druid for a campaign I'm in soon :] She disguises herself to be Something More Humanoid/Less Monstorous Than A Bugbear, and has a colony of ants she carries w/ her as the last part of her home that'll "speak" to her (also, they revere her as their eldritch god)

The campaign is actually mostly themed/based upon & Inspired by Ukrainian & slavic mythos/folktale, so I think it's a lil silly she's named after an Irish mythological figure- not an intentional contrast when naming her, but I think it's fitting! Helps solidify her as Something Foreign, which ties to her backstory well & also furthers her whole "Uncanny Valley" deal

I remember talking to my dad abt her and seeing his face, I don't remember what I said exactly but I explained a lil abt the uncanny valley thing and he was like "Yeah I was about to say, that sounds like.. really uncanny valley." bcuz it is!! Her disguise isn't meant to be perfect lol- thats why it's all practical stuff like make-up or cloth, minus the rings she uses to make her hands smaller. she's still 7ft tall with off proportions for a person, and honestly even compared to other bugbears she's a little off- she's more willow-y, her neck is longer, her teeth are less tusk-y and more needle-y, she's not quite as fully furred as one ought to be- she's a lil bit of a freak among any group she's in <3 Oh plus her eyes. that's a feylost thing lol

I've rambled enough so here's some of the first sketches I did of her, & if y'all are curious abt her or have any questions feel free to ask !! I love yappin abt my sillies !!!<3

Not only were these characters fantastic to play alongside in our Descent into Avernus campaign, but the people they belong to are both pretty fantastic too! ❤️

I took longer on this then I'd hoped, but caught myself taking breaks from it to do studies on several things before coming back to it. I love how much this pushed me to work on things I normally overlook: details, chubby and hairy men and consistent lighting on several different textures! I'm quite happy with it, and wanted to capture the sunshine that I know Amelia is! ☀️

hello dnd community :) this is a bugbear character ive had for four years now! she's changed a lot but I still love her
