No matter your opinion on endogenic systems/plurality: New alternatives to Simply Plural that actively try to filter out "real" and "fake" systems literally cannot do that without being able to look at your system data. Fact. Any app that does this is not fully private.
🐝📱 rambling about my bugphone! :3
(I use we and I interchangeably a lot here sorry)
Oughhh I cannot recommend the minecraft mod Switchy enough it's so good. We have it on a server we are playing with our friend and it is so nice to have different headmate inventories, skins, etc
Here, take this notes app template for your headmates. We put our headmates in a folder in our notes app simply titled "headmates." Not all of these have to be filled out. We also put pictures of them and moodboards and stuff. Links to their playlists.

Oh also we use TwiNote as like. Our own little private social media in the collective. We use Discord and Tupperbox in a private server for internal communication. You can also use it to track fronting and share who is fronting with others, but Discord status is public so beware. We tried to move to Fluxer but they were down for several days last we tried so we gave up 🤷♂️
Discord sucks ass let's all use email again
Common mistakes when writing USAmerican southern accents
Obviously not all southern accents are the same. I can only write for the louisiana-mississippi delta region. Feel free to politely reblog with how you talk in your region.
If you reblog arguing about what parts of the country are the "real south" I will beat you with hammers.
1.) Sins of "Y'all" -> "Y'all" refers to a GROUP OF PEOPLE. You do not use "y'all" when referring to one person. The exception to this is if you are referring to a person's family who is not present. For instance, you see someone in Walmart and ask "How have y'all been doing?" -> You are asking about them and their family.
2.) "You" does not always have to be replaced with "ya" -> We say "you" sometimes, too. I would say put "ya" at the end of a sentence or as the object of a verb. Definitely not at the beginning of a sentence. Don't overuse.
GOOD: "See ya later!"
WEIRD: "Ya need help?"
3.) Overuse of idioms and figures of speech -> Old people kind of do this, but young people are not going to say "it's colder than a witch's tit" unless they're trying to be funny.
4.) Everyone wants to say "god damn," but the USAmerican South is a highly religious area. And this is considered to be "taking the Lord's name in vain." So people often censor themselves with things like "gosh darn" or "dang."
Kind of depends on your character and how church-y they are. Though even a pretty religious character may say "god damn" if they are really fed up, and this is a good way to show it!
5.) Nobody really says "yonder" -> Unless they are very old (like my would-be-90 something grandmother) or they're really trying to ham up their accent for some reason.
6.) "Gonna," "wanna," "tryna," "shoulda," "woulda," "coulda" etc. -> We do actually say these! y'all'd've
7.) Misuse of "ain't" -> "Ain't" is not simply a substitute for "isn't." We still say "isn't". "Ain't" is different, usually used for emphasis? Hard to explain.
right: "I ain't doin' that."
wrong: "There ain't any mayonnaise left in the fridge."
8.) Double negatives -> if you use "ain't," you should almost always be using a double negative with it.
right: "there ain't none"
wrong: "there ain't any"
9.) Self-censorship of the southern accent -> growing up, a lot of people are told (yes, by older southern people) that their accent is too country, and not formal. "I ain't gonna say ain't 4 times, cuz ain't ain't a word" was a popular rhyme I heard growing up in school, and kids would argue trying to find ain't in the dictionary.
Especially in formal settings, like work or school, people will suppress the more telling parts of their accent, like "y'all," "ain't," double negatives, etc. If you walk up to someone at a counter in a store, they will likely say to you "Hi! What can I get for you today?"
[and i guess a lot of writers get pissed? that we cant pick up on their character's accent in this sentence. but it's literally fine you will have more opportunities to make this guy talk.]
A character's accent will be strongest in non-formal situations, usually around friends/family. Unless they are REALLY country and don't even bother.
10.) Not every sentence has to be full of accent marks and shortened words. Every now and then when you need them is fine.
Let's look at this sentence:
"Ah’m fixin’ ta git mah truck."
Yes, it is correct phonetically. People do sound like that when they talk. But I think it took all of us a MINUTE to understand what that even means. It is too hard to read.
11.) You don't need to drop every G. Sometimes a character is "goin' to the store." Great awesome! I'm not really sure about the rules for this, it just feels natural. Though I usually contract verbs that don't really matter ("goin'," "doin'," "sayin',") in order to get to the part of the sentence that does matter. I probably wouldn't drop the G on "biking" because it's a specific and important part of a sentence.
12.) When a character writes, they will write in normal English. Even if they would say "I'm goin' to the store" in real life, they will write "I'm going to the store." They might still write "y'all" or "ain't" depending on the formality of what they're writing.
13.) "Fixing to" -> This is not a simple replacement for "going to." "Fixing to" implies action is just about to happen.
right: "I'm fixin' to go to bed."
wrong: "I'm fixin' to move houses next year."
This is the last thing I'm going to write about this. It's been a week but I still feel the need to write my little essay. It keeps ping-ponging around in my mind. Not in an angry way, just as a train of thought.
About a week ago, I had issues with a mutual reblogging "hate all men, trans men included" and "trans men all shut up" -type posts.
I made a post of my own that said (to my general audience) that we cannot be friends or mutuals if you reblog this sort of post. It is immaturely sexist and transphobic. I had already blocked someone for this before, so I thought it was good to make a statement.
They send me (on anon) an ask: "Misandry isn't real you little dingus!"
And I mean, I laughed at "dingus" for a while and blocked the anon. I had a lot of things I wanted to say, but I figured it wouldn't help and would attract discourse to the blog.
Agh but I need to get it out now. They're gone.
Misandry is not systemically enforced like misogyny. It should not be treated, therefore, as an equal issue. Most discussions of "misandry" are just men distracting from issues of misogyny.
There are people who hate men (which is the definition of misandry, btw) but it's kind of like? If you have been oppressed all your life, I have no right to tell you how to process that. I think it's unhealthy to harbor hate for such a large group of people, but me telling you that likely wouldn't help. So most of the time I just ignore it.
But this particular time, "misandry is not real" as a statement was being used as an excuse to be cruel to trans men online. To tell them to shut up, go crawl in a hole, etc. Hello???
And there is this weird subset of "feminists" on tumblr who have decided that the answer to patriarchy is... to hate all men? Yay! We fixed it!
men > women?
No!
women > men 😎
This is feminism everyone :)
Obviously this does nothing to advance rights of women, and creates bitter people with limited social circles. Multigender and nonbinary people do not fit into this equation at all. It is deeply sexist and transphobic no matter which way you slice it.
Yet I see??? Whole groups of trans women on tumblr subscribing to this??? Why??? We're doing "girls rule boys drool" as our feminist theory in 2026??? Is this where we are???
This essay is more me complaining than trying to help anything. I don't think there is anything I could say to these people to change their minds. But I do enjoy writing long text posts to get out my thoughts.
If you reblog this with discourse I am blocking youuu this shit is stupid
