SPARTAN: The Toughest Obstacle Course!
Sports TV Show Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge will start its Season 2 shortly on RTL CBS Extreme, and I'm excited to see how it will turn out!
The challenge, which is a race comprised of a ton of unbelievable obstacles like barbed wire, fire and mud, became the inspiration of the first-ever Reebok Spartan Race happening on September 16, 2017 at the Timberland Grounds, San Mateo, Rizal.
BuiltLean's Kristin Rooke has warned Spartan Race wannabes to be ready for anything, as the course map isn't unveiled until the event itself. Upper and lower body strength, endurance and speed is required if one wants to survive.
Fitness First Philippines, Reebok Spartan Race's official gym, believes that in order to overcome such race, exercises like sprints, squats, lifts, lunges and burpees must be part of the training. It's brutal, since it's for the world's most challenging obstacle course.
Last Thursday, RTL CBS invited their blogger friends to Fitness First SM North EDSA to try the gym's 45-minute Spartan SGX Program, which is designed for those who want to join the race.
If you're just dreaming to have a Spartan body but have no plans of competing with the hopefuls, here's the good news: Spartan SGX is open to all! The program is guided by elite SGX coaches so it's certain that you'll optimally build muscles and burn fat.

I would totally recommend this program to anyone wanting to gain not only good aesthetics, but also super-humanly endurance! The workout we had was grueling and really pushed me to the limit! I felt that I had burned a lot of calories in a short span of time. The exercises were never boring. Do this repeatedly, and you'll become the toughest version of yourself, ready for any of life's physically taxing challenges!
