🍻🏈We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us - Charlie Bukowski🏈🍻 Last night I lost my Uncle Charlie after a long struggle with cancer, tumors and other ailments. It was a rollercoaster of him getting better and then getting worse again. When my mom called me late last night I knew before I even picked up the phone. He’s the only person on my moms side(, including my own mother,) who always accepted and supported me. We were both black sheep and I’ll forever be missing my flock. As Americans we culturally have such a strange relationship with death it’s hard for me to make heads or tails of this situation. I started writing his eulogy a few days ago so it’s not like I didn’t see this coming but I am still heartbroken at the loss of someone who was so influential and so supportive of me. Rest in Power Uncle C, I’m so happy you’re not in pain anymore, so grateful to have had you in my life and so sad to see you go. 🖤 X X X X #charlesbukowski #charlesbukowskiart #charlesbukowskiquotes #charlesbukowskiquote #charlesbukowskiportrait #charlesbukowskiart #bukowski #bukowskiquotes #bukowskiquote #bukowskiart #bukowskiportait #portlandartist #portlandart #portlandartists #pdxart #pdxartists #pdxart #charliebrown #charliebrownart #charliebrownportrait #woodcutart #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist #contemporaryarts #popartist #popartists #contemporaryartdaily #contemporaryartcollectors #cleverart #artcollectorsofigi (at Coffeehouse Northwest)
