You and me we can paint the city, what do you say? / Blub Setting / 35mm / Canon AE1 (by Jon Rabon)
don’t you know dirt will find you & dirt reminds you that dirt will always be there… @deannadeadly #x100 #multipleexposures #jacaldwellphoto (at a is still for asshole studio)
A wonderful example of God's power tonight! This is my first time shooting lightning, I'm pretty happy with the results! The trick, as I learned after failing miserably the first time, is to set up a tri-pod and use the bulb function and a remote control. I actually went up there to shoot some self portraits after several things didn't work out, and then the wind picked up and I was going to leave, and then I noticed some awesome lightning and tried to take a picture of it, but that didn't work
So I turned around and there was an amazing sunset, and I went over by the pavilion there to get a better shot, and there was a group of people there singing and playing music, I didn't think much of it until I heard the song that turned my life around at Acquire the Fire, I still don't know the name of it to this day. But there was a youth group worshiping God even in the middle of a thunder storm. I ended up joining them for worship (which was terrifying for me because I'm pretty shy) but I found out that a couple people I know were a part of this youth group, so that was pretty awesome.
They ended up taking their shenanigans to Chick-Fil-A, but I stayed up there to try and get pictures of lightning, and as you can see, that worked out pretty well for me.
So what was supposed to happen, didn't happen, but this was by far the best day in a long time, this just proves once more how God directs me with my photography and is taking me where I need to go.
