This is one cake where lumps and bumps are welcome, encouraged and downright delicious!
I love this cake. It really isn't a celebration or holiday without this cake. I like it served with some neapolitain ice cream or vanilla bean ice cream.
Sanders manufactures it, but it's only available locally. So, here's a recipe for it.

(This is a bumpy cake cupcake. Bumpy cake is a Michigan delicacy consisting of chocolate cake topped with bumps of vanilla buttercream, all covered in chocolate fudge ganache.)
I just today realized that Bumpy Cakes are not a widely known thing and might only be really known to us Michiganders...
