After reading your bio for Bundler I'd like to ask if you share the headcanon that Crosshair is an extremely good mathematician (for calculation trajectories etc.). This would give Cross a little edge in regard to Bundler, right? ;-) All in all, Bundler sounds pretty cool and a bit creepy in a deliberate way which sets him a bit apart from Crosshair. Keep up the good work!

Oh, definitely! In fact the first time Bundler sees Crosshair in action is when he’s using his reflector disks which is what gets Bundler interested in him and he joins the squad for the rather selfish reason of learning all of Crosshair’s tricks (he also starts out with the notion that he’s got better eyesight but he’s quickly proven wrong, rip his poor inflated ego).

I also like the idea because it gives Crosshair something to teach Bundler – he can’t teach someone good eyesight but he can definitely teach all the ways he uses math and that’s what a lot of their lessons are about.

So overall Cross has the edge in all aspects, including experience since Bundler only started specializing in sharpshooting after his sight improved. It’s a small margin in each case but it makes all the difference.

I’m really glad you said that!! Bundler did start out as a more difficult copy of Crosshair but I decided to nudge him in a different direction and I’m glad it’s working. Though I do like to keep them a bit similar because it’s fun to explore how Crosshair feels about seeing a version of himself from the outside heh.

Yesterday and all through last night Cosima was very fussy and wouldn’t settle. She keeps asking for food every hour (instead of every 2-3 hrs) and then only taking half of her normal amount- it’s like she needs to snack instead of eat proper meals. And she is crying at far greater volume and intensity than before! I’m almost impressed! I just worry she is going to hurt herself when she’s so upset she’s going purple and starts squawking and I can’t seem to make it stop no matter what I do.

It is worse than when she went through leap one in weeks 4-5, when she was very fussy and her sleep was messed up, then she became so much more alert and interested in everything-it was fascinating to watch! She can evidently see and understand things so much better than before. It’s magical!

So anyway, now, according to the books it seems that week 6 (and we’re 6+1) is a growth spurt and the ‘peak of crying’. Cosima appears to have read the books 📚 😂
