Due to Pat and Rey being shoved back into the garbage to be forgotten about after Star Force 1, we were robbed on seeing them meet Solo. We could have had edgy boy who is alone vs edgy boi who is literally never alone!

The scene was so vivid in my head, I had to create it in the only way I know how. With sprites ripped from a mid 2000s DS game.

Now, I’m not saying Pat and Rey would win against Solo. I’m saying that Rey wouldn’t pass up the chance to sucker punch him the moment he saw his chance.

(No, but seriously, we were robbed, pilfered, purloined, and absolutely stolen from by not getting to see these two interact. Solo believes in no bonds whatsoever, meanwhile Pat and Rey are two people in the same body. It writes itself, people!)

I'm putting together a team…

I've seen people calling Spider-Man, Superman and Optimus Prime the best representations of heroism. But what about redemption ?

Starscream probably has one of the best arcs in Legend of the Microns/Armada : Despite his flaws and Megatron's constant abuse, he remains a loyal soldier until he finds out that his leader plots to kill him, thus causing him to defect to the Autobots. Later, he would sacrifice himself to prove to Galvatron that the threat of Unicron was real in order to unite both factions.

Despite his immense hatred for Spider-Man, Venom is still bound to his duties as the Lethal Protector. Eddie's even on good terms with Peter.

Vegeta's arc was slow, but beautiful. He comes to Earth and Namek in order to attain immortality, he joins the Z-Fighters in the fight against Cell and renounces fighting after Kakarot's death. During the Buu Saga, he becomes Majin Vegeta in order to become evil again in hopes of beating Kakarot in a 1V1, ignoring Bulma and Trunks' safety. He then proceeds to sacrifice himself to destroy Majin Buu, and puts aside his pride in order to fuse with Kakarot in order to beat Buu, then admits that Goku is his superior during the fight with Kid Buu.

I guess you could add in Burai/DragonRanger as a 4th member, considering he was willingly evil and redeemed himself after he realized his brother still cared for him. As the candle representing the time he has left to live burns out, he wishes Geki to give the elixir of life to a dying child, resulting in his death.

Keep in mind that there's a lot of characters who've redeemed themselves, but in my eyes, these 4 are my favourites.

Barring anything I may have glossed over, or minor variation triplicates of sheets, I think this is it for all the Ryuusei settei sheets I have. I do have a couple reference sheets that are more game-related that I want to transcribe, and some of the cover sheets. But in terms of the art, I'm pretty sure this is the last one. Going to be a busy work weekend for me, but I am going to try to post those last few before the end of next week. Otherwise, not sure what, or when, I will move to posting next. Even though I've only done 3.5 years worth of daily posts over the course of the last 5.5, part of me feels like I need a real break from it, as opposed to the shorter time I pause for contest focus and whatnot. Although I'm sure I'll get bored eventually. But with the LC dropping this month, plus contest stuff, I might be hitting pause on daily scan posts for a bit longer than normal. Time will tell. Part of me wants to get time to try to draw again, too. I should also probably get back to re-uploading more of these scans to the wiki, as well. Even if this is just a side-hobby/work project of my fandom, doing it for this long can be a little draining, too. ^^; So anyways, will get back on it eventually, but for now, thanks as always for still showing interest in my posts. Another week gone by and we're a little over halfway through the interest check period! So first and as always, we're so happy to see everyone's thoughts so far for both input and points of interest and it's only making it more and more exciting for us to get crackin' in on things. But of course we have to get there to make sure we can support the ideas and work to be done in question. That's why i'm very happy to report in...

WE HAVE HIT THE MINIMUM FOR THE PROJECT TO PROCEED!!!

However! There's still work to be done and people to reach - we have hit the minimum amount of interest for the project to proceed as a digital only zine (A PDF file of the zine "book" and potential digital only add-ons). Which is awesome on it's own of course, but if we can double that by the end of the interest check period...we'll go ahead for the investment of that interest and go forward with physical copies! (Real printed and binded book copies of the zine and potentially physical merch extras)

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! First, let me apologize for my long, enormous continued absence. I've been pushing my way through dental hygiene school and I've lost most of my will to live free time. If you wanna hear more about what I've been up to, feel free to shoot me a dm~ But enough about me, LOOK AT HOW GORGEOUS THESE SPRITES TURNED OUT!!!! This was a joint effort between me and @adiabolikpastel~ The Burai on her blog and mine occupies a shared universe, and you can read all about his story with Rose as part of their Excruciating Duplicity series. Life hasn't been easy for either of us these past few years, but I'm still super proud of all the work we put into these blogs and our stories! As always, these sprites were made by the GORGEOUS and talented @seven-re. She did an amazing job of incorporating the Rosenfeld crest AND the Vibora crest into these designs. I'm in awe at all the little details she put into Burai. I can't thank her enough for always capturing my visions and being an amazing artist and creative partner!
