(@ask-team-searchlights) Burhalla@Adrienne: The Charmander glared at the Pikund, his eyes filled with anger...and a hint of sorrow. "Why did you lie to him?!" he yelled.

The Pikund struggled to keep her fur from spiking up with electricity, "Look, our mother is the reason I'm deaf in one ear and the reason Finn is missing part of his ear. Yes, part of Finn still loves her despite the abuse and I don't. Derry might have sacrificed herself to save us, but one good decision doesn't excuse the years of neglect."

Adrienne took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She hadn't intended to let all of this out, but that accusation had stung deeper than she expected.

"I'm sorry that I hurt Finn by not acknowledging that she was probably dead...but my only want was to keep him and Keahi safe. I thought it was best if we kept moving until we were safe and then to let them grieve once that happened. But never once did I lie to him, okay?"

After another moment, she opened her eyes again and mumbled, "And...I don't want to talk about this anymore. I've said my piece and all I want to do is get back to protecting the kids."

A fuzzy Riolu with raccoon-like pattern pokes his head in through the open door of the library, a huge smile on his face. Giddy with excitement, he quickly steps in, his head swiveling this way and that as he takes in all that there is to see.

Chase: This place is HUGE!

He claps a paw over his mouth, suddenly remember that he probably shouldn’t be that loud. He may not have been in a library like this one before, or at a slumber party for that matter, but he did know enough to hope he didn’t wake up anyone with his outburst.

Chase: Eh heh... whoops.

He looks around once more, his energy a bit less prominent than before, then heads toward the back of the first floor. It was a library after all, may as well start with some reading!

Chase will be wandering around the library, starting with the bookshelves. His ref has been unlocked!

Dang this took like two weeks longer to finish than expected. Work kicked up right as August started, so that combined with drawing this in a style I haven’t before (and probably won’t again, at least for the time being) means that the month’s over halfway through.

But! Chase is here now, finally! Answers and responses will unfortunately have to be mostly text because I want to be able to interact with others as much as possible, but man I am still so excited about this event. And I’ll be sending asks out and making my own separate post for if anyone else wants an ask from Chase later today, once I’m not as busy!

(@ask-team-searchlights) Burhalla@Nick: The Charmander stared at the computer, fascinated. It was...like a connection device, but it had a moving image, and it looked like the Greedent was controlling the image. His tail flame burned bright as he watched the game of Terraria in awe. "How does that work?"

(Nick) My laptop? In short, I don't know the exact details of it, but my computer works by harmony of electronic circuits and motors. If you asked a Rotom, i bet they'd give you a more detailed explanation.

(Nick) But as it is, I use this mouse (picks up handheld device in right paw and sets it down lightly) to move the cursor on the screen here, and then I press these buttons on the left and bottom of the keyboard to make the character move around. And if i want my character to use the thing in his hands, i press the left button on it and he does a thing, like this!

* Nick uses a pickaxe on some dark orange stone (lihzahrd blocks) to no avail.

(Nick) Now normally, I would mine a block of some sort, however, my pickaxe is too weak to pick at this block so it's just clanking away at it fruitlessly. However if I were to use the pickaxe on something like this gold ore...

* Nick uses the pickaxe on gold ore and it breaks and falls to the ground, then the familiar his character has darts over to it and picks it up. Normally he would have to walk close to it, but the dev team of this particular mod he installed decided to add Flick from Spyro as a light pet for some reason.

(Nick) I now have some gold ore. Now if I wanted to make my character do...blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...
