The Burlington County Courthouse in Mount Holly, #NewJersey was built in 1796. Its architect, Samuel Lewis, designed the building as a virtual identical twin of Congress Hall and Old City Hall, the buildings flanking Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was regularly used until 1959 when a new County office building was opened which included court facilities. The courthouse continues to handle judicial proceedings. #nj #njhistory #SpreadTheHistory #historygirl #history #travelblog #travelblogger #blogger #blog #history #ushistory #history #americanhistory #explorenj #njspots #jerseycollective #journeythroughjersey #architecture #archi_ologie #burlingtoncountynj #southjersey #courthoues #mountholly #mounthollynj (at Mount Holly, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFIxiJyjfZq/?igshid=1bji5s3ozb2l9
