The Burlington County Courthouse in Mount Holly, #NewJersey. It was built in 1796. Its architect, Samuel Lewis, designed the building as a virtual identical twin of Congress Hall and Old City Hall, the buildings flanking Independence Hall in Philadelphia, PA. It was used full-time until 1959 when a new County office building was opened which included court facilities. The courthouse continues to handle judicial proceedings. #nj #njhistory #SpreadTheHistory #historygirl #history #americanhistory #blog #blogger #travelblog #travelblogger #jerseycollective #explorenj #preserved #journeythroughjersey #southjersey #southjerseyadventures #burlingtoncounty #mounthollynj #mountholly #archi_ologie #architecture #courthouse #burlingtoncountynj #snow (at Burlington County)
