Merlin took a venture to Maya’s home, firstly. That was the last place he knew to reach her. Hopefully he wouldn’t be accidentally shot through the garage door of her rented home. He made a soft bullet baffle barrier ward to cover his front just in case as he knocked on the door.

He enters the bar with a confidence to his step. This is his beginning attempts to familiarize himself with the world that he remembers at some point - he was once apart of. But when he was dragged away to duties he was forced to fulfill, he finds himself having to relearn what it means to exist among mortals without drawing too much attention to himself.

He makes a trip to a bar he remembers once visiting last he was here, the Darkside Bar, and enters - steps anything but hesitant. He tries to remember exactly what brought him here, and so he sits at the bar.

or...I don’t know. Something like that in the, like, tone of it. I’m not clever enough to think up something original or witty--or well, I guess I am not musically inclined enough to do so.

The thing about big cities is that it’s very easy for someone to get lost in the crowd. Especially if you wanted to. And Lys in this case, very much so wanted to get lost. They weren’t entirely sure for how long they had been being followed, but they knew that the man was a hunter. And one honed in on them. After so long, being able to identify a hunter quickly was just a necessary survival skill.

But for whatever reason, Lys couldn’t shake their tail. Maybe this was just a more determined hunter than the usual ones. It was likely that neither of them would want to make a scene in a very public area, so Lys was safe-ish in the crowd. But they still needed to get away, and were clearly looking for a place to bail into. Choosing an alleyway at random, Lys dashes. Hopefully they could lose the hunter, and anyone else following them.

Aliya - Okay, for starters, you could hand her a rock you found and go “This reminded me of you!” and she’d be delighted. Aliya is delighted by little things, things that show someone knows and thinks about her. Taking Aliya’s opinions, favourites, and feelings into consideration means a lot to her.

Lys - For them, time is a big thing. Due to their circumstances Lys tends to live moment-to-moment, so having someone who’s willing to let them slow down and just exist as themselves is truly a treasured thing. Just spending time with them means so much to Lys.

Hot like a pepper. Burning the back of the throat. You need to pace yourself with this one but oh does the heat keep making you want to come back for more. Maybe I’m just a glutton for punishment.
