BURU
The Buru is a reptilian monster that walks the swampy valleys of the Himalayas. In 1947, it was reported by the Apu Tani people to Professor Christopher van Funer-Haimendorf. They said that the monster was about 15 ft long from head to tail. It has a triangular head with flattened teeth, except for the four fangs in its upper and lower jaws. It has armour-plates along its back and tail, and stumpy legs with strong clawed feet. Its skin is a bluish-black, mottled all over, with a pale underbelly.

Cryptid of the Day: Buru
Description: In 1945-6, James Mills & Charles Stonor collected reports of an unknown lizard in the Apatani Valley in Northwestern India. In 1948, the Daily Mail sponsored an expedition to find the animal, though researchers turned up empty-handed

Kakashi trying to call on one of the ninken but keeps on saying the wrong name until he goes through the entire pack's (and even some human friends-) names before finally getting to the one he needed to call XD
He was tired, that was it.
It had been a long day and he was tired. A good reason for him to be screwing up something as simple as his hounds name.
“Pakkun.” He stared at the dog in front of him, frowning when his guess was greeted with an angry snort. “No, wait. Sorry. Akino.”
“Try again,” the hound insisted, settling down on the floor and laying his head on his front paws. “I can wait.”
This shouldn’t be so hard. He had eight hounds, all with rather simple names.
“Bizuke.”
“No.”
“Gai.”
“That’s your boyfriend,” an honest mistake really. One he hoped the hounds didn’t tell said boyfriend about.
“Shizune.”
“I want to see her face when i tell her you call me her name.” He was in trouble. None of the names that came to mind worked, but he knew the name.
It was on the tip of his tongue.
It was so obvious.
“Bizuke.”
“You said that already.”
The bull dog stared at him expectantly, waiting for his next attempt. All Kakashi needed was some sleep and this would all be so much easier, but first he needed a helping paw.
Someone to go out and get some food from Ichiraku, since his legs were too weary to even carry him down a few streets for lunch.
“Asuma?”
A grunt greets his last attempt. “Do i Look like a smoker?”
That was fair. Dogs didn’t smoke and it was stupid of him to make that mistake.
In fact, all of his mistakes were stupid. The name should be obvious. He’d had the hounds by his side since he was five years old. He could remember riding this one’s back when he was still little, cheerfully egging him on faster and faster until he could barley hold himself onto his back.
“I-“ his mind went blank. There were no more names to think of. No other attempts to throw out in hopes of finally getting it right.
He was done.
For the first time in his life he had forgotten a name.
“Is this what it feels like for Gai?”
“No,” the bull dog stood and trotted over to him, bumping his head against Kakashi’s cheek in a comforting gesture. “He remembers his friends names.”
That was true. Gai only ever forgot his enemies names, or people he barley knew.
He had enough respect to remember his friends names.
“I’m sorry,” leaning into the giant dog, he closed his eyes. “I’ll make it up to you in the morning.”
“You’d better,” the dog adjusted himself, laying down beside Kakashi and allowing the summoner to collapse against him. “Until then, sleep. You need it.”
“Thank you,” sleep tugged at him, yanking him towards unconsciousness before he could even complain about the hunger gnawing at his stomach. “Love you, Buru.”
