🇬🇭 At sunrise in Busua, the ocean is approached with intention.

Along Ghana’s coast, many fishing communities observe days when the sea is left untouched, allowing it to rest and replenish. Rituals like this often take place at dawn, marking respect for the water, the ancestors, and the balance that sustains livelihoods.

The staffs, the stillness, the timing, none of it is random. These moments reflect a belief that the sea is not just a resource, but something to be honoured.

Gets soo happy when I see these kids of Busua living like there’s no tomorrow, they being in their own world.
