okay random headcanon:

Mortifier was a con man, using stage magic to get away with his tricks. After Vincent loses him he becomes a bit of a recluse, and goes searching for the chest once he loses it but then along his travels he finds a child with a mischievous smile, some quick words who tries to con him out of some measly pocket change.

And for a minute Vincent doesn't see Flim Flam he sees Mortifier, the friend he lost.

So it seems like it is confirmed that the cover of Sunrise on the Reaping will be revealed on Oct 18th!

I’m so excited. I won’t even lie though I actually really like the concept cover. I miiiiiight have a hard time letting go of it. Maybe. Perhaps.

(I also subscribe to the theory that it will likely be a canary)

Sam is the mysterious superhero known as “Ghost” who can speak with the dead and make their spirits visible/tanglible (kinda like Klaus from TUA)

Pete works in the travel agency that is the front for the mob

Flower is in the cult, with Bruce having some ties to the mafia 

Sasappis, Sam and Shiki work together as reporters at the Ulster County Review with Lewis kinda being a JJ Jameson to Sam’s Spiderman

Sass knows that Sam is “Ghost” and works to cover for her 

Alberta is a singer who’s boyfriend has is in the mob

Hetty is Sam’s relative, and the Woodstone family are very enmeshed with the crime going on in Ulster County 

Thorfinn is part of a gang called the Vikings but wants to leave because he wants to protect his newborn son Bjorn but doesn’t know how

Isaac is running for mayor and while a little selfish and egotistical he is clean unlike his rival Alexander Hamilton who also has ties to the mob

Trevor accidentally got involved with the mob through his ‘bros’ when he was younger and is trying to get him and Pinkus (a new recruit) out 

Jay gets involved when he finds out the restaurant he’s working at is actually a front for the mob and doesn’t know what to do/how to get out

The mob and the Woodstone Family have old connections to magic stuff which is how Sam ends up getting her powers, so theres an urban fantasy element to it
