SAM WHAT ARE YOU DOING
legend has it that if you say " sam wilson doesn't deserve the shield " in the mirror three times bucky barnes comes out of the mirror and slams your head into a wall
my room is not vampire friendly what a sad realization. no curtain rod = no curtain = sunlight = no vamps napping in here
Anyways J*red can choke on a used condom but Sam is our bae and we love him <3
HOW IS SAM THE MOST ENDEARING CHARACTER. THIS MAN!
Okay, I’ll tag this as anti sam just because I think it’s polite, but it’s a genuine confusion…
What was Up with Sam’s actions after the Gadreel reveal catastrophe? Like, for real, what was the writting trying to accomplish? “Same circumstances, I wouldn’t” “I was ready to die”Bitch????? The whole reason You were doing the trials instead of Dean is because when he was the one who was like “So what if I die” you dug your heels in and didn’t let him? Because you, vocally and clearly, did not want to die? Because you wanted both of you to be alive and well? Because you also bypassed him and his wishes (by doing the first trial) out of love for your brother? (Which was a Good thing because stopping people you love from committing suicide is a good thing)
Like, I get being hurt by the possession, but that’s not even what he was going on about?
And I just… Can’t deal with the vilification of Dean’s actions in this, by the fandom and narrative. I can’t stomach it when people act like Dean was being selfish and disregarding Sam’s autonomy for the lols. In fact, he was respecting what a clear headed, bright eyed Sam has told him: I want to live, I see a light at the end of the tunnel. He didn’t respect what Sam told him while in a magically induced suicidal spiral because that’s not the kind of thing you should take a person at face value on! And also, Sam’s whole speech… Like, again, this is less an anti Sam post and more of a “what the fuck” one but the whole thing boiled down to “I’m a fundamentally bad person who deserves to die because I’m tainted and also because I let you down and thus you made friends that weren’t me” and while I don’t think it was Sam’s intention, while I understand it was him spilling his heart out in the middle of, again, a magically induced suicidal spiral, that’s just so manipulative? Dean had no choice but to deny and try to stop him, to reassure him that he came first and then to try and save his life after Sam asked him for help stopping it.
I’m writing a fic set roughly in that timeframe and I keep trying to get into Sam’s headspace and I just… While me and other fic writers try and make it work, it’s such a heartwrenching moment of confusing writing for the sake of conflict that I just can’t help but wonder the motive.
