something about michael and vanessa’s parallel lines about “you did your homework/you really didn’t do your homework” and also vanessa saying to michael “this isn’t a game”
Okay I’m. Usually. Usually I don’t enjoy human aus and usually I hate drawing transformers as humans because it feels so wrong to my brain.
But then I stumbled upon Dream of something more by Gemma_Inkyboots and aaauuuhh fuck. Here’s the pile of the most vague and unspecific and undetailed fanart. Because I’m being torn between “I can’t drawing human designs” and “If don’t draw something for this fic I die”.
currently obsessed with this album so I had to remake it's album art for tomodachi life...
Hawke was HUNGRY for Fame, Power and Recognition
I think this is canon for ANY Hawke. A massive part of Hawke's character that isn't optional in my opinion, is that they WANT wealth and power. Whether that's just for survival, to look after their family or maybe something else. That can be up to the player I think. But the want itself? That is always Hawke.
And for my Hawke who grew up poor, always on the move. Who could not bring too much attention for herself because she was born into a world that tells her she is inherently bad for the crime of being born a mage...a part of her wants to reject all of her circumstances. She WANTS the wealth and influence denied to her. She WANTS the fame and recognition because she's tired of hiding away from the spotlight for fear of Templar intervention. She's sick of the nobility looking down on her for being a refugee. For the Amell name to be something whispered like a shameful little secret.
She wants it all. Templars, Chantry, High society be damned. She is HUNGRY for it.
Hawke's rise from Ferelden Refugee to Kirkwall's Champion, as Cassandra puts it "Respect for a woman who built herself from nothing" is such an important theme for Hawke and I love it for not only the rise, but the TRAGEDY of when it all comes crumbling down. Ten years of wrangling Kirkwall into a chokehold because she refused to let it beat her down, and in the end the city still won. In the end it didn't matter.
She has her love, but not for long by Inquisition's events. Her friends are scattered to the wind and her family is in shambles if not outright gone. It's so inspiring and SO tragic.
