Truly the fanfic author curse has fuckin Got Me, I say "I feel hopeful about finishing the fic this weekend" and BAM - bleeding for over a month, big throat swelling making sleep impossible for weeks at a time with no explanation, partner has cold and lost voice entirely, and now I am all sniffly and sneezy
God doesn't want me to write, clearly, but nothing can keep these bastard hands from typing tentacle blasphemies. I shall return to u tentatodd fic, I promise
are you doing the spotify wrapped playlist thing again this year?
yes, I'm planning on it! Lots of irl things just came up super suddenly so it might be slow moving at first, but I would love to :D I've got a few things from last year I didn't get to post and will probably come up again too so :] very excited!!
Since today is now TBS day apparently, here's some tips for surviving/escaping the Integrity Anomaly Cluster (The Broken Script):
1: Watchtowers are your friend
A majority of common entities in this cluster pose little or no threat until they reach a close proximity with you. As such, bases on the ground (eg normal houses) are left vulnerable given most of the entities' capacity to break blocks. Therefore, it is recommended to construct a base at least 12 blocks off the ground (exact number uncertain, but you need it to be high). In order to minimise time exposed to entity attack, it is recommended to establish tree and food farms on the watchtower/skybase (animals are possible, but can be a headache, chickens are especially easy given egg mechanics). Establishing a secure and ideally self-sustaining base is a critical step to ensure your personal safety and increase odds of survival.
Furthermore, if possible replace the ground surrounding your base with waterlogged kelp. While I have yet to fully prove its effectiveness, this should in theory slow entities if not stop them as they will no longer be able to bridge across these blocks.
2: Know how to fight back
Most entities are invincible to conventional damage sources the player can provide, however there are some exceptions I have found:
1: Iron golems - possibly the most common and easy, though I have reason to believe iron golems are now despawned when entities become aggressive. Research into a panic button system that summons the iron golem after the entity becomes active may prove useful. Also note that Sub Anomaly 1 will kill iron golems.
2: Mods that use damage triggers - The only example of this I have is Mine Traps, compatible with 1.20.1 instances of the Integrity Anomaly Cluster, though if others can be found it may prove useful.
3: Hitscan gun mods - its important to distinguish Hitscan guns from Projectile guns in this respect, as Projectile guns will be treated by entities essentially the same as a high power bow, rendering them ineffective. However, similar to damage trigger mods, it seems likely that Hitscan guns (such as Gun Unleashed, currently in use in my research) may still be effective
It is important to note that even if an entity can be hurt, many have large health pools and may still get you first.
3: Dimension crash course
Here's a brief list on escaping/surviving the various Neo-Dimensions featured in the Integrity Anomaly Cluster:
Clanvoid: Exits are room tiles made of a glowing white block, explore until you find one
Nulltorture: Your best bet is to pick a direction and keep walking. If you get lucky, you'll be teleported out eventually. If you reach a dead end, turn around and keep walking. If you get teleported out of the tunnels, try to find a way back in, there are no exits outside the tunnels.
Day A: [[INSUFFICIENT DATA]]
VoidEXP: Find an interactible console block (black and purple, they stand out) and enter 'sv.exit'. Select any 'from' or 'to' checkboxes and run the command
Remember: when exploring neo-dimensions, try to bring equipment you can afford to lose, and be prepared to take drastic measures to get out...
4: DON'T SAY HIS NAME
5: What to do if you get Assimilated
The Assimilation process inflicted by various Void Entities present in the Integrity Anomaly Cluster closely reflects the process depicted in the "SERVERBLIGHT" TF2 horror series by Two Idiot Germans on YouTube (ooc: if you like tf2 its definitely worth a watch really well done imo). As such, players affected will no longer be able to exit the game. In contrast to "SERVERBLIGHT", dying will not allow the player to exit. Therefore it is adivsed to attempt survival instead and hope someone else turns off your computer. In some instances of the Integrity Anomaly Cluster, a Digital Spirit known as "Revuxor" has been known to protect players from Assimilation (or total Assimilation) by force-kicking them from the world in desperate circumstances. Most likely getting kicked from the world by an entity is your safest bet of escape, however partially Assimilated players may not be able to utilise this means.
There are no confirmed ways of escaping following total Assimilation, but research is ongoing
6: Admire the beauty that remains around you
Significant mental duress can increase your vulnerability to Assimilation and even accelerate the process in some cases. Therefore it is advised to take time when you can to enjoy just playing Minecraft, even when stuck in a world affected by the Cluster.
While not a complete or comprehensive survival/escape guide, I hope this helps you to reach those goals nontheless. Happy Broken November!
