Okay, so. I feel like I need to get this off my chest.
I’ve been a J2 shipper (basically since the very first episode of Supernatural), and of course I’m watching The Boys. Up until season three my ultimate OTP was Butcher/Hughie. Still is. But!
Now I keep looking at Butcher/Soldier Boy, Butcher/Hughie/Soldier Boy, Soldier Boy/Hughie. The chemistry between all of them is insane, and it’s driving me crazy because with every pairing there’s SO much you could write, it makes my brain short-circuit.
At the same time, I’ve got this weird pang of guilt? Like, I’ve been shipping Jensen and Jared for fifteen years, and suddenly Karl Urban shows up.
I keep thinking I need to write a fic where Butcher and Soldier Boy hook up just because they’re drunk and high. Obviously it starts with a fight that gets them into bed, because that’s exactly how they’d blow off steam. The truth is, Butcher’s totally fallen for Hughie, and Soldier Boy might feel something for Butcher because he found him, freed him, all that. And of course with Hughie and Butcher — it’s all about the angst and UST.
Meanwhile, some wild Vought plot is unfolding in the background. Thanks to another twist, Butcher and Hughie end up together. Soldier Boy realizes he needs Butcher too. Maybe at that point something happens between all three of them. And then, thanks to the plot, we get a character played by Jared (who we don’t even know yet), and somehow he and Soldier Boy end up together.
Honestly, I think this whole storyline is my Roman Empire
