I wanna be confident enough as an adult to just go “Fuck you I’m going to this kid store and buying a shit ton of toys because I like collecting shit and I can do what I want!” Instead of being all like “Uwu Me twenty three can’t buy in person cause people will judge me and have to be grown up. gonna buy online and punch myself for being so childish about it”
yup.
I am buying less crap this year and donating more.
There, that’s my resolution.

I’m not one that normally spends my money on “wants”. I tend to save it and not buy things I don’t need. But recently something has shifted and I’ve started to become a consumer and I HATE it. Why have I changed? Why do I want to buy dumb shit now? Maybe I’ve been scrolling too much and the algorithm is working really well. Fuck!
I have bought multiple fountain pens and notebooks. Maybe I need to stop being hard on myself and just allow myself to spend money because in the end I can’t take it with me... might as well use it while I’m here on things that bring me joy.
I tend to look at money through the lens of those $10 trinkets add up in the end and I’d rather use that money to fund bigger purchases that are either of higher quality or just pricer. (Ex. In the future I want to build an outdoor kitchen) I just gotta let myself buy the stupid trinkets every once in a while I guess and not feel bad about it.
