I completely agree that devsis fucked up

wlc’s death is a horrible message

having the suicidal one begin to heal and then kill herself for the better is not okay with me and will never be

they threw away so many plot points that were so well done

chaos happened and they defeated dec but white lily was ok

silent salt stuck around to make sure it would go ok

the beasts are SAFE and TOGETHER and WELL and now have to bond and take care of eachother and shyt because I think that’d be better idk

pure vanilla yoinked shadow milk before he could do anything else bad

pv is taking care of everyone that got seriously injured beasts included because he’s nice like that

everyone is alive

Wellll…

I was kind of apart of the Twitter Leak Crashout, but I firmly believe that if those leaks didn’t come out people would have liked this episode a lot more. It caused a LOT of people to spiral, me included. It’s one of the core reasons I do not like anyone who leaks game content.

Very happy about the new sprite, but it feels unfair that Wizard Cookie & Gingerbrave both got new sprites and Strawberry Cookie didn’t.

I feel bad for Wizard Cookie, he’s definitely gonna need some therapy after this, and I’m 100% making that chip in his hat permanent when I draw him-

Also It wasn’t shown but like- did Strawberry Cookie and Wizard Cookie crumble alongside the others before Sugar Swan showed up???

I do really wish Wizard Cookie’s staff was brought up at least once, but I got enough content that I was happy nonetheless. There’s always the future!

Im a little upset we didn’t get more time with our main trio, and I really wish we’d gotten a key art of Wizard Cookie and Strawberry Cookie hugging Gingerbrave after he escaped the oven, or at least more acknowledgement.

I really hope we get acknowledgment of the brave trio’s traumas after this ep. They’re KIDS. They just fought in a huge war as core pieces.

The beasts (minus Shadow Milk Cookie & Silent Salt Cookie) got done so dirty this episode. Tossed to the side and don’t even have any voice lines behind optional story content. I wanted more from them, more reaction. We don’t even know how they felt about Dark Enchantresses ascension! Would any of them have second guessed themselves? I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT BURNING SPICE OUTSIDE OF HIS BRUTISHNESS!!!

Silent Salt Cookie, I don’t have much to say since I still haven’t gotten to playing his eps. But I did like him, at least? He’s interesting and such a hypocrite lmaooo. Him almost silencing Pastry because she’s so stubborn was funny.

And then.

The cosmic horror.

Definitely interesting. I’m not as mad as I was about it in the leaks. I think, as odd as it sounds, this has been the intention for YEARS, even before Shadow Milk Cookie became Devsister’s little cash cow. Im pulling out my game dev diploma for this, but a lot of people don’t realize just how long some of these things take. I wouldn’t be surprised if CJ Pawlikowski & the other Shadow Milk Cookie voice actors did their recordings all the way in early 2024.

I think LamentedVirtue on Twitter put it in a way I most agree with, so I won’t repeat what they say. But I will say, I like the route they’re going and I’m curious to see the outcome.

I WANT TO SEE HIS NEW FORM SO BAD…HE LOOKED COOL AS HELL IN THE TRAILER.

I liked Dark Enchantress Cookie and I don’t know what they meant by they felt she got sidelined lmao, she was haunting this episode worse than a horror movie.

Ultimate Cookie However… THEY SIDELINED THEM!!! I’m so sad we hardly got to see anything of them despite the fact that this was their debut they’ve been building up to for so long!!! But at the same time I can see why they got so little…Ulti is very OP, see Shadow Milk Cookie.

I’m VERY curious about that post credits scene.

Aaand White Lily Cookie, White Lily Cookie, White Lily Cookie… a terrible message to those relating to her struggles. I can’t put it as well as others already have, but it feels like a second hit of the Stranger Things Finale. White Lily Cookie and Golden Cheese Cookie never even got to talk…

White Lily Cookie’s cutscenes were beautiful, I cried, and I’m very curious about the Souljam character, but it’s just perpetrated by this feeling of wrongness.

All in all, I think this update was okay and the leaks made it out to be worse than what it was.

Im nervously hopeful about the next arc. I’ve never really liked Timeline plots, but I’m very curious to see where this goes.
