(yes I know its July, and this is happening in November. Please keep in mind this fic has 155 chapters, and I have school starting in August, so I'm gonna be trying to do the bulk of this now)
If you didn't see my last post, I will be posting a podfic of Story Of Redemption to YouTube to celebrate the fic's five year anniversary.
Some things of note:
1: I've made a few practice videos posted on YouTube privately. None of these are the actual chapters, but are me just getting the hang of it, and trying different software. I think I'm starting to get the hang of things, but I have learned a few things. A: Yikes I hate listening to my voice from my phone's mic, and B: Man I need to work on my voice acting lmao
2: Capcut seems to work okay for my video making purposes so I'll probably be using that
3: The funniest technical difficulty that I'm still having is the fact that to save an audio recording to the place where I can put it in the CapCut editing software I have to set it as my ringtone first. I have yet to find another way to get it into that folder. (Thank goodness I don't have my ringer on almost ever lmfao)
4: I ordered a microphone and four sketchbooks from Amazon. I paid extra to get it by today. It will not be here until tomorrow, and I'm still pissed about that.
5: I'm considering posting a few of the chapters early, and posting the rest on November 2nd (the actual anniversary lol)
6: I don't have my sketchbooks to do the art (I specifically ordered those sketchbooks FOR this smh), but I am currently making thumbnails for the videos. They will look like this
6.5: I know the 'written by' seems kinda redundant, but please remember I did have a co-writer for this fic, and even though it wasn't for very long, I still want to give credit where it's due
7: I'm planning on doing artwork for this as well. One drawing per chapter, and the drawing will be something related to the chapter.
7.25: I'm currently planning on doing the artwork for each chapter myself, but there are 155 of them. So if you want to do one, feel free to comment or DM me. I do not have the money to pay you for this, but I will link to your socials in the description, and shout you out in the video.
7.5: If you want to do some of the artwork: Just let me know what chapter you're wanting to do artwork for, and what you're planning on drawing, so I can approve it. Please try to make a drawing that will fit into YouTube's video sizing. When you send me the art, give me the name/socials you want shouted out. I truly don't know if anyone will want to do this, and there's no pressure at all, but I've had a few people send me fanart of the fic unprompted, so I thought I'd let y'all know it's an option.
7.75: I already have plans for the artworks for chapters 1, 49, 53, 72, 155, so those are off limits. Other than that, first come first serve. (Unless I have already finished the drawing for that chapter by the time you ask)
8: I am going to be editing the fic as I do this. The overall story should be pretty unchanged. I might add or cut a couple scenes here and there, but I'm ultimately pretty happy with the overall plot. However... As I am rereading it... UGH the formatting 🤢 how tf did this get so popular?
8.5: However, if you're REALLY devoted to how the fic is right now, I would recommend downloading it, because when I edit it, I will not be saving the previous version anywhere.
