The Other Side of Paradise will always be c!happyduo coded for me. Literally c!bbh’s pov when c!skeppy sacrificed himself. The chorus single-handedly made me write my first fanfic of them and I still listen to it when I write about them. It’s just full of the heartache that I imagine c!bbh went through losing c!skeppy and how he eventually went back to the Egg out of grief to find a way to make the pain stop

🅰️- Is the Syndicate a good or bad force on the server?

In my opinion, yes. Although I don't think the ccs intended it for it to be that way. Disregarding all of the metanarrative subtext and how the lack of active nations in a POLITICAL story weakens things, the Syndicate has done more harm than good. c!Niki told c!Emeraldduo about the existence of Snowchester, heavily implying it was a nation and should be dealt with (aka destroyed) the people making up Snowchester were; A traumatized teenager, his husband, their toddler, her best friend, her girlfriend, and her girlfriend's son. Not a good look.

Also the fact that they ignored the Eggpire- an active threat to the server that was actually authoritarian and deadly until c!Puffy and c!Quackity roped c!Techno into it.

And that isn't even talking about the prison fiasco.

🦆-Should c!Quackity get a happy ending?

I'm pretty neutral on it. I think he deserves a safe place to heal and process the abuse he faced at the hands of c!Shlatt and the assorted trauma that came with new L'manberg and c!Slime's deaths, while also being held accountable for torturing c!Dream and manipulating several people into joining Las Nevadas. I think these things aren't mutually exclusive, although this fandom has a bit of a problem when it comes to characters who could both be grouped into the "abuse victim and abuser" archetype.

🙂- Is c!Happyduo toxic?

Yes, I believe it is. And not just during the Egg arc with Red Skeppy and all. By nature, you can't have a healthy relationship if one party is totally reliant on the other party for something. (c!Bad's health is linked to c!Skeppy's). That quickly devolves into codependency. We know discount c!Skeppy was created because c!Skeppy wasn't giving c!Bad the amount of attention he wanted. While also being violently possessive of c!Skeppy. And that's not even mentioning his conversation with c!Skeppy which ended with his death. c!Bad resorted to physical violence, and punched c!Skeppy into the lava. It's especially insidious because c!Happyduo does not get as much attention from the fandom-- and when it does get attention, it's almost always romanticized. No, violently killing your partner in a fit of rage is never ok, even if you feel horrible afterward. Even if they call you selfish. Even if they are being rude to you and ignoring you.
