c!Techno's S/O Meeting The Rest of The c!SBI (+Tubbo)

Since Phil is Technoblade's father figure, it was quite fitting that he was the first to hear about you

They were off in the Nether grabbing materials (Read: whither skulls) when Techno managed to find a whiter rose

He mumbled to himself that it would make a nice gift for you before he carefully tucked it into his bag

Phil, intrigued about his uncharacteristic actions, decided to ask about them and, in response, he told him about you

Subsequently, Phil happily offered to have you over for dinner

The chances that he already at least met you once was high, but he still wanted to officially talk to you so that he could make sure you were good partner for who was basically his son

It took a bit of convincing but eventually Techno agreed to ask you, and after you said you'd go, the date was set for next week

While Techno was telling you about it, inviting you to the dinner, Phil talked to Tommy and Wilbur, telling the two that Techno would have a very special guest over and that they had to be on their best behaviors

Wilbur was pretty excited, after all he had always looked up to Techno and the idea that he had actually found someone he was comfortable enough with to date had never happened before

Tommy on the other hand straight up didn't believe Phil

The idea that The Blade had a romantic partner, much less was bringing them over for a family dinner, wasn't something he had ever conceptualized, so he thought it was some dumb running joke right up until he actually saw Techno walk in through the door with you

They were all sitting in the living room, Wilbur and Phil in chairs and Tommy and Tubbo (who Tommy insisted on bringing), were on a couch when the two of you walked in

Wilbur and Phil greeted you with a smile, Wilbur shaking your hand and Phil offering you a hug

Tommy, though, was still on the couch, staring at you wide-eyed and surprised

Tubbo waved at you from the couch and introduced the both him and Tommy to you

Because of his genuine surprise, Tommy was the most interested in 'talking' to you over dinner, and by 'talking', I mean shouting questions at you from across the dining table

"When and how did you two meet?" "How long have you been dating?" "Why haven't I ever heard of you before?" "Why are you dating him?"

Tubbo and Wilbur laughed quite a bit at it, before Wilbur tried to get him to chill out a bit, Phil following in suit

Technoblade, on the other hand, tried to convince Tommy that it wasn't a big deal that he brought you over (or even that you were dating) but Wilbur cut him off quite quickly and insisted that it was, especially since he had never been in a relationship

(You didn't know that particular fact and it became a topic to tease him over later, you decided)

After that, dinner continued with relative ease, occasional light conversation popping up now and again

Your boyfriend still seemed quite tense about the whole situation, but it seemed like he was getting a bit more comfortable

Interestingly enough, Phil wasn't the one who gave you the "I'll bury you if you hurt Techno" talk, it was Wilbur

He was respectful, but still made his point clear that no one in the family would tolerate any misdeeds from you to him

In response, Technoblade, who still looked as stone faced as usual, seemed ever so slightly embarrassed with a faint blush across his face

After the dinner, you offered to help Phil with the dishes and he accepted your offer, letting you just rinse things off

He took the time to ask about you as a person to get to know you better, as well as to apologize for Tommy

At the end of the night, Technoblade walked you out of the house to take you back home

Overall, his family was a bit chaotic (and he insisted that they were usually worse), but since Techno was someone who you planned to be with for a while, you decided that you would put up with them for him

Technoblade had walked down the larger table where his family ate to sit next to you. He cleared his throat as he placed his hand discreetly behind your back.Your eyes hadn’t met since yours nervously looked around the filled room. Techno’s family were eating and drinking, Tommy and Wilbur arguing with each other across the table while Phil had chuckled to himself. You were a simple friend of Ranboo’s that Technoblade had gotten interested in, nobody except you two knew about the relationship.

“Are you having a good time?” Technoblade asked you as his hand rubbed your back. You bit your lip before looking up at him. His firey red eyes were shining in the latern light in the room.

“Yes, what about you?” you asked as your voice sounded sad which made you clear your throat before giving him a weak smile. His thumb rubbed small circles as he tried to read your expression, something Techno was an expert at. The night was enjoyable but you wished to be able to show your feelings towards Techno openly. You had seen other people check him out and you heard them talking about wanting to go on rides with him. However you could do nothing about that.

“It would’ve been better if my Eros would tell me what is bothering them,” Techno spoke with a low voice as he looked you in the eyes.

“Why don’t you ask them then?” you asked as your eyes left him. A small chuckle left his deep voice as your eyes scanned the room, watching the family happily talk, Tommy occasionally throwing pieces of his food at Wilbur causing Wilbur to do the same back at him.

“What is bothering you?” he asked as he looked at you worryingly. You gave him a small reassuring smile.

“You know what Techno, you’re one of the smartest men I know,” you mumbled back before fidgeting with your fingers. A deep sigh left your lips as he stroked your back. Then his eyes left yours as they looked at his father who was eating at the table with Ranboo on his side. Suddenly he stood up with his cup in his hand before leaving you wondering as he walked over to his father.

“Phil, a word,” Techno whispered in his ear. Phil only nodded as he stood up ready to step aside with his eldest son. Phil quickly looked over at the shy person he had seen Techno speaking to a few times before. Techno took a sip of his drink as he quickly thought out what he would say.

“There’s something or rather someone I need to talk to you about,” Techno said and his father nodded as he looked Techno in the eeys.

“About Ranboo’s friend, Y/N? Over at the end of the table?” Phil said as Techno smiled, a light shade of pink covered his cheeks. He nodded before looking at his father, “a farmer, Techno.” Phil said and Techno nodded once more. He knew Phil probably didn’t one hundred percent like the idea of Techno finding love. Phil didn’t want to see his son betrayed, sad, or used. He didn’t want anyone to take advantage of him being the Blade. To use him just for some kind of ‘protection’. 

“I’m well aware Phil but I really love them whether they’re in danger or not,” Techno said and Phil only hummed in response. Phil had sensed something was going on between the young couple for a while. The looks they had given each other and his spotting Techno leaving his room in the middle of the night to join the young woman outside .

A smile spread across Phil’s face when he remembered when he had seen Techno sneak outside to the flower field with Y/N for the first time. How he carefully looked around in his cloak and wool. His words echoed in Phil’s mind as he remembered Techno blaming the chilly winter air when Y/N had opened the door to the outside.

“I thought that you probably needed some extra warmth?” Techno said and a shy smile spread across Y/N’s face as the blush was visible.Y/N had nodded as they stilled smiled before quietly opening the door and the two went outside to enjoy what the night had to offer the two.

“You know I only want you to be happy, son?” Phil spoke and Techno nodded.

“I can’t get any happier than I am when I’m with them, father,” Techno said as he nodded towards you before taking another sip. Phil smiled before rubbing his son’s shoulder. Techno gave his father a smile before engulfing him in a hug, lifting Phil off the ground slightly earning a chuckle from the older man.

“I know that someone would be delighted to meet you, father,” Techno whispered in his ear. As they pulled apart, Phil nodded before giving his son a smile which filled Techno’s chest with happiness.

“I also would be delighted to meet the lucky person,” Phil answered. Techno held out his hand for his father to take. Phil chuckled slightly before hooking his arm with his son’s. Then they walked over to Y/N. You looked up and saw Techno with his father walking towards you. Your eyes widen as you quickly straighten your outfit even if it wouldn’t get any better with some fast fixing. It needed a complete redoing from scratch.

“Father, this is my beloved Eros. Y/N this is my father, Ph1lza,” Techno said and he sounded so proud. You smiled at Phil before giving him a small nod. Techno let go of his father as he stood next to you and placed his hand around your waist. Pulling your body closer to his body.

“Ph1lza, it’s great to get to talk to you,” you said as your eyes met. Phil gave you a big smile as his eyes shifted between you and his son. He saw how Techno’s eyes shined when he looked down at you. 

“Please, call me Phil and it’s an honor to meet the person who has stolen my son’s heart, promise me you’ll take care of it,” Phil said and you quickly nodded as your heart beated quickly in your ribcage. It all had happened so fast from being a complete stranger, Phil only knowing you merely as the person who saved Ranboo one day in the rain, to the person who had stolen Techno’s heart.

“I promise Ph1lza- I mean Phil,” you spoke nervously but felt a hand squeeze your waist reassuringly. You noticed more people had gotten interested in your conversation. The large table of the whole family (and Tubbo) looked at you guys but Techno’s hand never left your waist. Instead he grave you a smile before hugging you closely with his arm. A kiss soon placed on the top of your head and a very familiar blush covered your cheeks.

Phil suddenly raised a glass in the air as everyone got quiet. He looked at you and gave you a wink before looking around the room. As Phil began to speak, you sucked in a deep breath quickly.

“Everyone please toast to Techno’s beloved Y/N!” Phil spoke and his family cheered, Tommy the loudest. Your blush grew deeper and Techno only chuckled before he took your chin. Your eyes met and soon your lips did the same. Chills covered your skin as you placed your hand over the hand that was on your hip before giving it a gentle squeeze. The blush on your cheeks didn’t give you any signs it was fading when the kiss deepened and Wilbur whistled.

He’s the prince of a lovely expansive woodland kingdom that your own kingdom had been at odds with for years

They’re rich and packed full of natural resources, making it a central trading hub

While they may be an economic powerhouse, they were incredibly rocky when it came to wars of any kind

But your’s is, so naturally a trade of sorts was agreed upon to end the squabbles before they got dangerous

His kingdom got protection, a few more pieces of land, and several of your knights and weaponry, and your’s received wealth, resources, and an open trade route with very few tolls

One last part of the agreement was that the person next in line for their respective thrones in each kingdom were to be wedded

You and someone you only heard of by the name of “George”

The trip to his kingdom was a lovely one, the stone brick road was well taken care of and the scenery was beautiful and the kingdom itself was gorgeous as well

While the buildings weren’t very tall in the first place, castle included, they were still overshadowed by the flora that flourished in the surrounding area nonetheless

Mushrooms as tall as houses and flowers the size of people were common place, gigantic dark wood trees too

The closer you looked at everything, you noticed how the man made structures weren’t at all interfering with anything, but rather integrating peacefully (even the bridge to the castle was a long, reinforced root)

It looked like something out of a storybook

Meeting George was odd

Even though he was polite, he came across as uninterested about the whole ordeal, wanting to leave to go back to his personal chambers 

Instead, however, he was told to take you out to the garden so you could introduce yourselves and get to know each other more properly

He sighed and acquiesced anyway, bringing you to a set of double doors made with dark teal wood

He was quiet almost the entire time you two were together, only talking when you asked questions, leaving blocks of awkward silence

You decided that it was going to be an exhausting marriage

c!Technoblade

He's the prince (or king? maybe?) of a small, recently liberated kingdom in the Nether that spans mostly throughout a large crimson forest

Because of it’s wobbly foundations and history of bloodshed, the parliament of his kingdom decided that making ‘friends’ with a kingdom from the Overworld was the best course of action

The best way to do that, of course, was to marry off their new ruler to the next in line for the throne of an already well established place

They said that they’d give you hundreds of thousands of pounds of precious materials, gold and quartz mainly, in exchange for your hand, and your parents agreed

When the various people from your kingdom found out you were marrying Prince Technoblade of the Crimson Kingdom, they treated it as a death sentence for you

Whispers of ”Oh, poor thing has to marry a beast like him” and “A Nether hybrid? How unfortunate” were common place as well as annoying and overbearing pitiful glances

They talked about how he was a physically scarred brute that dwarfed anyone in size, and how he was unafraid to slay a man’s whole family in front of him, that he didn’t have an empathetic bone in his body  

Safe to say, when they came to your kingdom to finish the transaction and exchange resources, you weren’t exactly expecting a handsome, well mannered man with long, braided pink hair and dark hooves to show up with a golden arm cuff with an emerald imposed in the center crafted specifically for you

As he spoke to introduce himself as ‘Technoblade’, you noticed how his voice was deep and very monotoned

First he talked his kingdom and the realm it was situated in 

He described the boiling pits of magma and streams of flowing lava, and the way everything was bathed in a red or yellow glow, offering to take you one day if you wanted (while he emphasized how dangerous the Nether Realm was, you were excited at the offer)

After a few hours of you two fully speaking to one another, telling each other about yourselves, you were confused about the rumors

Everyone said he was awful and scary, but you genuinely only saw a kind, albeit, socially awkward man with some unusually physical features and a thick scar across the bridge of his nose

Surely he couldn’t be as bad as everyone was saying

c!Wilbur

He's the prince of a kingdom that’s run by King Philza

The kingdom itself was a gigantic, sprawling empire that seemed to have calmed down in the past half century or so (ever since Philza became the king), focusing on creating bonds and patching up messes with other nations, kingdoms, and empires it had gone to war with long ago

Since your kingdom had a very intense past with theirs, they seemed very keen on making things better, quickly, in fact

As per the agreement drafted between the two lands, they had to break down a few of their walls (something they were already working on doing) and decrease the size of their military, though their navy could stay the same

For your side of the agreement, you had to marry the eldest prince, a man by the name of Wilbur

As you rode in the carriage to meet your husband to be, you noticed thousands of miles of farmland up to the empire’s capitol city, the city itself being beautiful, crafted from light colored stone and wood with stunning colored glass windows in every single building

The castle itself had depictions of many different ex rulers stained in the same colored glass, each face looming down in a straight expression

While it was all a touch intimidating, the majority of the family waiting in the throne room had sweet, welcoming smiles

King Philza was stern but kind, Queen Kristen was patient and sweet, Tommy, the youngest prince, was hotheaded but still trying to make a positive impression, and Wilbur was a sweetheart

He had a soft smile and kind eyes, and introduced himself as your future betrothed

When you two were told to go off on your own to speak with one another to get properly aquanited, he brought you to a large room with long, intricate floor to ceiling curtains and a huge golden chandelier in the center, a grand piano near one of the open windows

He, first, apologized for his younger brother, Tommy, before he talked about the rest of his family and how he loved to play the guitar and write poetry and sing, all while asking you questions

Before either of you realized, hours had passed, and someone had gotten you for dinner

You were a bit more happy about the arrangement, Wilbur truly seemed lovely

O!Technoblade General Relationship Hcs

You were in the Pube, sitting on the ledge next to Tommy and Phil, attending the spectacle of the younger man's flying lessons

Phil dropped off of the platform, Tommy following in toe

As you watched Phil swoop through the air and grab Tommy's hands to keep him from fluttering down, the door to The Pube opened behind you

You turned to welcome whoever opened it and, across the room, you were greeted by an large, unfamiliar looming figure with a white and dark red cloak

He was an incredibly light skinned man with light red, almost pink, eyes and jagged scar that ran across his left cheek and the bridge of his nose, his long, thick, messy pink hair that was tied in a low, loose ponytail with what looked like a piece of thin, frayed rope, and on top of his head sat two tall ears pointing towards the ceiling, the left one flicking slightly

He unlatched the clip around the neck of his cloak and removed it, setting it down on the table next to the potion stand

As he walked, you noticed his arched legs that ended in long rabbit feet, you also realized he had a pink fluffy ball at the base of his spine that made up his tail

There was no way this stranger was a bunny hybrid, right?

You had never actually met a rabbit humanoid before, so you expected them to be five feet tall at most with a small frame, not bulky six and a half feet with muscles

The stranger looked down at you as he pulled a golden carrot from one of his waist pouches and bit into it, looking just as puzzled as you

To your relief, the sound of heavy footsteps cut through the awkward silence as Phil and Tommy landed back onto the platform, Phil landing gracefully to his feet and Tommy unceremoniously crashing onto the dark wooded deck

As the younger avian scrambled to his feet, loudly exclaiming something, he cut himself off to look at the pink haired man, and he excitedly greeted him, Phil following in suit

You introduced yourself as well and the two of you got acquainted as you hung around The Pube for a few hours more

Something about him (Technoblade, as you learned), piqued your interest, and after that day, you spent more and more time with him

He really was a fascinating person, an introvert with a magnetic personality, and a brave and intense warrior with the habit of being comically gullible, all hidden in an intimidating appearance save for the fluffy hair, ears, and tail colored a pastel bubblegum pink

After a few months, you noticed him giving you more of his personal time, inviting you over to his house to read or on mining excursions, the latter in which he was more protective over you than you last remembered (as soon as anything hostile even entered your field of vision, it would be on the ground within seconds)

With his slight change in personality around only you, you weren't too surprised when you found a letter that was slipped under your front door detailing his romantic interest in you, you were certainly happy nonetheless

When you two go on dates, they aren't anything extravagant at all, he much prefers doing mundane things with you like material runs, reading, or staying at your home for the night, occassionally he takes you on pleasant little picnics though

The picnics can get a bit annoying, though, because while he makes sure to pack some food you'll enjoy, he refuses to eat anything other than carrots

He could eat hay or bread, but he insists it's gross, and it's the same way with potatoes and beet soup

Because his obsession with carrots, you had to teach him how to actually be patient and wait for more to grow rather than hoarding every carrot he could find

You also help him find interesting recipes and ways to incorporate carrots into other foods so he has a more healthy and balanced diet (he tried to eat meat before, but it made him ill, so he sticks to spiced vegetables)

He actually sees it as a date night, when he goes over to your home and you two try to cook a new recipe together

He likes when you two are in the small kitchen, hands or elbows lightly grazing together as you try something new

Little touches like that are his favorite kind of physical contact

It's not something huge, but he finds the little acts of affection to be the sweetest

He's not huge into hugging though, but hand holding is quite alright with him

Because of that, he's not big into cuddling unless he's tired, something that doesn't happen very often (but if you really wanted him to cuddle with you, he might reconsider)

His favorite cuddling position is one where he gets to lay his head on your chest, even though he's a bit worried that he'll accidentally crush you, it makes him feel safe (he'd never tell you)

Oddly enough, when you two are being sweet with each other, he likes when you stroke his cheek with your thumb, he just melts in your hands (h a t e s when you touch his ears or tail though)

When people looked at you and Jschlatt together, they were confused

He was a loud, harsh man seemingly without any sort of caring or empathetic bone in his body

On the other hand, you were an absolute sweetheart, patient and kind to everyone

You two were just so mismatched as a pair that many people, members of his own cabinet included, had assumed some sort of nefarious activity on Schlatt’s behalf

While he did look intimidating with a glare cold enough to freeze someone solid, he was essentially useless on the battle field

You on the other hand, looked incredibly sweet but could totally crack a few skulls if need be

In fact, you were essentially his bodyguard

For years, long before anything with Manburg or Pogtopia, you two had been side to side, growing with one another

Ever since you were kids, you hung around each other

Through his early life, he focused on more clinical subjects, mostly political in nature

You focused mostly on fighting and strategy

Whether it be crossbow, sword, axe, or a cleverly thrown harming potion, you had the practiced ability to skillfully wield just about any weapon at your disposal

You stuck by his side throughout the years, your loyalty never wavering once

He had seen the fiercely protective side of you and you had seen him at his rawest, when he had taken down the walls around him and his heart

The public image of the two of you, while Schlatt would never admit it, was far different from what you two were actually like

The fight had gotten pretty intense, leaving a pretty nasty gash across his rib cage

His withers had all been killed, his allies were off fighting their own portions of the war, and he was bleeding fast, back against the wall

He pressed one of his hands to the wound, axe in the other, a grimace on his face

He always said that if he was going down, he was going down swinging

With shaky hands and slightly shallowed breathing, he raised his weapon, preparing to fight until he fell to the ground in a blood covered heap

That was, until you swooped in, sword and shield in hand and a gleam in your eyes

The opposition had certainly been surprised

Each one had seen you around before, with a sweet smile on your face and a hand outstretched to help anyone in need, you were the picture of kindness and innocence

Now though, that person didn’t seem to have ever existed, replaced with a war hardened individual who would refuse to back down from a fight

Cuts, bruises and burn covered your face and body, a noticeable one across the bridge of your nose and dangerously close to one of your eyes

Technoblade was hunched over his injury, staring at everyone from behind you, an obvious smirk on his face

It had only taken a few minutes, but you successfully had back the three or four away from the both of you, them cursing as they sprinted away

As they left, you wrapped his arm around your shoulder and got him to his feet, dragging him off to somewhere that could be more safe to tend to his wounds

He sat in pride as you had him lay back into the grass, your original caring persona coming back as you pushed a healing potion in his hands

You looked up and gave him a sweet smile and he knew he was completely enamored with you

c!Technoblade Going Through The Potato Wars W/ His Partner

You and Technoblade had been in a healthy, steady relationship for a while now, the two of you taking up residence in a quaint cabin in a snowy biome with your two dogs, Hades and Persephone

His life reached a new level of calm that he had never experienced before to the point where the voices in his head had subsided significantly and, while it was all very lovely, it was stressful

Before this, he was constantly on his feet, either fighting, defending, planning or collecting resources for wars, so now that there was nothing but tranquility, he barely knew what to do with himself

That's when he decided to take up a few little hobbies to pass the time

Of course he spent time with you and your beloved pets, but you had your own things to do, so he had to find a way to occupy himself when you were off doing your own thing

After trying a few different options out, one of the things he found himself enjoying was farming

It started off simple enough with a few planters around the house that held plants for food and potion making ingredients. before he realized how helpful and sustainable farming was

With your help, he built a small greenhouse where he started farming more food; carrots, wheat, beet roots, and potatoes

You absolutely encouraged it

He found something that made him happy and you didn't have to take long trips to the nearest town and spend money on food (your boyfriend was at home growing and preparing it for you!) so really, it was a win-win

That was, until the catalyst

One day, when the two of you were in town together, mainly to buy more building materials and thick blankets to whether a particularly harsh winter, he looked at the news board in the town square

Sometimes he would check it to see if there were any ransoms he could fulfill (he had so much nice armor and weapons just sitting on mannequins and plaques, waiting to be used after all)

It didn't show anything like that thought, rather it expressed that a man "Squid Kid", as it were, was officially the number one potato farmer within hundreds of miles, and possibly even the world, for the 10th year in a row

While he didn't tell you, evidently, Techno found the stillness in his life absolutely dreadful, as he decided then to take it upon himself to start his own little war and usurp this man from his starchy throne

You, unaware of his new goal, noticed that he was gone for hours at a time

It's not that you didn't trust him, it's just that it was abnormal for him to be preoccupied for such a long time without telling you, so when you asked him about it, he brought you to the farm while explaining to you about why he decided to start in the first place

It was just a relatively large plot of land a way aways from your cabin, where he created a few golems to help with the cultivating nothing but potatoes

While you thought it was odd, you didn't think very much of it

You supported him in his little race and helped fuel his ambitions by dropping off materials he needed and, every now and again, helping him with farming by hand

Each time you did, he would tell you more and more about his plans on how he would achieve the title of 'Number One Potato Farmer'

This thing that he had created for himself, this war, was ingulfing his life and became the focal point for all of his actions

Everything he did was for this hyper fixation he had on winning this thing

Half way through month nine of twelve, he was running on only about an hour of sleep each day (he insisted that anymore and he'd "practically be handing Squid the trophy"), so to make it up, he was drinking gallons of caffeine a week just to stay upright on his hooves

He was jittery and his speech would sometimes come out as messy strings of words that made perfect sense to no one but him

He monitored Squid Kids every move, economic and otherwise, even if it had nothing to due with the Potato War

He could write an entire ethnography about this man with how much research he'd done on him

Then, finally, after an entire year of it all, he won

He loudly cheered before rubbing it into his foe's face, even doing a strange little victory dance

Once he was finally recognized as the Number One Potato Farmer in the world (which he made damn sure of), he kind of just kind of threw the title to the side, basically forgetting about it

The pretty, gold encrusted crown he received as an award was put in his study and forgotten shortly there after too

Then he just moved onto something else

He economically devastated several cities, caused ramped economic inflation, ruined a man's livelihood, and created several golems that would ultimately fall into disrepair, just because he was bored

And he moved on, behaving completely normal once again

It was certainly a weird year, but really, what else did you expect from your boyfriend?

Even though the story ends tragically, with Orpheus looking back at his lover and causing her to be pulled back to the land of the dead, he believes that being able to take one last glance at you would be preferred to his current situation

It had been a total of three weeks and four days since your death, and even longer since he had last been able to lay his eyes on you

After over three years of peace, he had gotten restless and had thrown himself, once again, into a war, this one between two powerful kingdoms

He missed the adrenalin rush that came with the fights, axe in hand and his foes blood painting the grass

But had never meant for his lover to get caught up in the fray

Someone from one of the sides had discovered you and managed to find a way to get to you, using you as leverage, the result was a tragedy of Technoblade's own

It had been three weeks and four days since your bloodstained emerald and gold cuff showed up in a box with a letter, detailing your death

While Techno was never a holy man, he prayed for the forgiveness of his Eurydice

They, however, also reminded him that they told him to not develop emotional ties in the first place, so really, who's fault was it?

The war in his head really was far worse than the physical one he had managed to enrapture himself in because he knew that he days of you being able to calm the voices and migraines that came with them had passed and that he would never get them back

The days of you running your hands through his long hair as his head layed against your chest were gone too

Those nights in the cabin were his favorite

There was an increasingly less rare calm in the air, and the only noises he could hear were your heartbeat, your breathing, and the winter wind rattling the window panes

He always said he should fix them, but he never found the time to

Now, with all of the time in the world, he couldn't bring himself to so it

Laying in the bed you two once shared, which felt far too empty now, the rattling noise was somewhat comforting

He could close his eyes and pretend like he could feel your weight on the mattress

He felt pathetic doing it

As much as he wanted to leave the wood and stone cabin that you two had built together behind him, he could never go far

Whenever he had put his foot down, grabbed his necessities, and left, he always found his legs circling back around to the place you two had created

Maybe if it your pictures weren't hung neatly on the walls, and your belongings unmoved since the places that you had last left them, he could go somewhere else

Maybe if you hadn't helped him build the cabin in the first place, reassuring him that he deserved a proper home, he could just go back to wandering by himself

It just seemed wrong though, pretending to forget the last of you that he had

He just wished that he could make peace with everything and see you one last time
