“What’s that, sweetheart? You wanna meet the great Jecht?”
“Aww, look at that. He wants to look like the Great Jecht. Maybe he should pack on some more muscle first.”
@worldly-diversity / auron "You know what I am now, don't you?"
Jecht humphed. “Yeah.” Dead, like him. But not like him too. His whole life had been a lie, a dream. And his time as Sin had been hazy, with brief moments of clarity, until he was finally killed. “Hate to say it, but I owe you. You really pulled through for us.” Without Auron, that cry baby...his son...never would have made it to Spira. And all those people would still be trapped in a cycle of death. “Still, wish there had been another way to do this.”
In the end, it had turned out fine, probably as well as it could have given the circumstances. Yet there were so many regrets. Things he had to let go because there was no use crying over the past. This was it for them.
“Hey,” he rapped his knuckles against Auron’s chest, “we did pretty good though, right?”
@worldly-diversity / auron "You haven't changed a bit, have you?"
“What’s there to change about perfection?” Jecht grinned broadly and beat his closed fist against his broad, tattooed chest. “In fact, how about I give you some pointers? I didn’t charge my kid but for you,” Jecht crossed his arms and sized Auron up. “Get me some alcohol and we’ll call it even.”

@climhazards said; Defend, for jecht and auron!
A group of fiends had blocked the trio in a narrow canyon that ran near the highroad. To one side, a scaled lizard, its hide thicker than the average sword, and to the other side, two red wolves along with a shelled fiend flanked them. Jecht and Auron had their swords busy shielding Braska, knocking back fiends as fast as they could. While Auron busied himself with the larger, scaled fiend, his sword perfect for the job. Jecht’s quick maneuvers kept the other fiends busy with a series of sword blows intermixed with punches and kicks. Unconventional, but it worked. With Braska between them, healing and offering support, there was no question about the outcome of this battle.
Until a few things happened all at once.
The shelled beast charged Jecht, its armored back hitting the broad end of his blade. As he pushed it back with a well-placed kick (unconventional, but effective), one of the wolves replaced it, its snarling grin stringed with saliva and hungry for a taste of his flesh. Jecht’s sword sliced upward through its head. The other wolf saw this as its chance to slip past Jecht and go straight for Auron.
With the shelled fiend upturned from his kick, Jecht finished it with a stab to its exposed underbelly, then ran after the one that escaped.
Auron was preoccupied with the overgrown lizard and certainly didn’t see the fiend charging him. He was too busy with a snapping jaw and claws that could slice through him if given the chance. Just as he dodged one blow, he heard Jecht’s warning yell, and half turned to see the approaching fiend. In only a few seconds, it would be upon him.
Then Jecht’s sword was flung into its back, embedding so deep that it came out the other end, shish kabobing the beast to the ground. Jecht kept running, though, past his sword and right at the next fiend with a well-placed ‘jecht-shot’ kick to the lizard’s jaw before it could attack again. It didn’t kill the beast but it stunned it enough for Auron to deliver the finishing blow.
In the aftermath, Jecht laid sprawled out on the ground, heaving to catch his breath but grinning up at the two.
“Good thing ya,” he breathed deep, “got the Great Jecht around, huh Auron?”
