Freddie was fairly new to town. Everyone seemed so friendly and kind and honestly he was not expecting it at all from anywhere in Alabama. Growing up in Seattle was a whole different vibe. But there was something so charming about a powder blue ford truck and being a local at a hometown bar that there was an entire channel just for that aesthetic. But even in such a beautiful place he still found himself in the classroom or the library as usual. He’d get out and explore eventually but he still loved the smell of old books and pencil to paper. So of course he was rushing through the library with entirely too many books in his hands and quite eager to learn. It was hard to find a place to sit when you had a stack of books blocking your vision. “Uh oh.” He could feel himself tripping over something. A shoe lace? A chair? Nope, it was himself. Of course it was himself. A loud thundering crash could be heard as he fell, books tumbling beneath him, and his glasses nearly flying off of his face. “Ow ow...” he winced, both from the pain of a textbook jabbing his ribs and the awkwardness of making such a loud noise. “Crap...oh my god.” He was blind as a bat without those damn glasses and he was reaching around desperately for them. Great first impression...
