The black feline began to squirm and grow larger, causing the person holding him to drop it. By the time Bartholomew fully transformed into his human form, the frightened individual was already running off. He glanced back at the person before addressing the man before him.

“Thank you for your concern, but I am more than capable of defending myself.”

Bartholomew pulls out his phone, and kneels down to take a picture of the woman’s feet. Smiling proudly, he shows her the photo. “There you go.”

Bartholomew had planned on spending the entire day in Loki’s room, sunbathing by the window, but the feline found it very difficult to relax while the child his mistress had chosen to take care of wouldn’t stop crying. Annoyed by the sound, the feline left the room only to find Sophia fussing on the living floor in a very empty room. He could hear her poor excuse for a babysitter in the bathroom, so he went over and nudged the child, trying to distract her long enough for the babysitter to finish up and quiet her, but Bartholomew was impatient.

Shifting forms, he found a toy to give the child and laid on the floor beside her. It didn’t take him long to calm her within moments, realizing she apparently just wanted attention.

“You don’t stink, so why must you be so loud? Have they spoiled you with too much attention?” He cooed at her, unaware her caretaker was returning.
