"okay, so the recipe says 375 for fifteen to twenty minutes.. but how can it be such a range? what if it's not even done after twenty minutes?" charlie had never really gotten this far on a recipe before, but so far, it all looked good enough.. "what do you think?"

"cherri, hey, everything okay?" charlie looked up from her phone, letting herself take a bit of a break in the middle of the day while the lobby was slow. she wasn't expecting to see cherri in here, but it was a welcomed surprise.

the last thing she wanted to do was scare vaggie with being normal around her, she didn't want to ruin any chance of just checking in on her girlfriend with everything going on.. but she missed her enough that being this close was just as hard as being apart. if not harder.. "you look really pretty." that would be enough to know where vaggie was at, if maybe she mentioned being here with someone else..

"thanks dad," charlie kept her hands on his shoulders, letting him lead them around the floor. she hadn't gotten out onto the floor as much as she probably would have if circumstances were a little different, but it was nice to just have a moment with her dad during all this. "i think you're way better at this than i am."
"you're here on a date, right niffty?" charlie smiled over at her friend, just happy to see her being able to be out and about, enjoying the party in her own way. she wasn't there last time all her friends went out to something like this, so it was just nice to see them enjoying it. "please tell me you're being nice."

"i wish razzle and dazzle could be here with us.." charlie settled into the lounge in her room, looking out the window at another dragon that passed by. "i mean, they could almost be mistaken as a dragon here.. maybe someone raises dragons around here.. there's so many, i'm sure someone does."

"it was stolas, wasn't it?" charlie had recognized him from when he had been trying to navigate around the hotel, remembering him mentioning something about the pride ring. if there were more sinners or something around, charlie definitely wanted to check in with all of them. after finding her dad, settling enough that she wasn't too overwhelmed, charlie had gone up to her, and vaggie's, room, to have a few moments to herself, to get situated back in her real life. but as she opened the door, she shouldn't have been completely surprised, but it still stopped her in her tracks, to see vaggie there. tears formed at her eyes again, letting the door shut behind her as she gave a small wave to her. "hi--" she didn't say anything more as her feet carried her forward, throwing herself around vaggie.
