You know the episode is good when Marisha finishes like that
it's the "I take a bit of phosphorus and squelch it through my hand and cast Wall of Fire" moment

I am so convinced that Avantika's "business associate"--who she was going to see about the Diver's Grave--was Sabian. At this point of the episode, Matt had no reason to think the Nein were going to sneak into Avantika's quarters on the ship, and this conversation was filled with potential options for the next day in Darktow. Matt was also making Avantika weirdly guarded about this contact when she was fairly open with the Nein about everything else.

Nein Again Episode 42 - "A Hole in the Plan"
Here it is! The episode that made me go holy fucking shit this is crazy wizards are so fucking cool caleb is so fucking hot
The end of this episode is fucking ingrained in my head (as is most of the next one), truly one of The episodes of all time
(28) Sorris' accent is fucking hilarious
(30) It is very funny to me every time Caleb has to roll deception for his name, given that Caleb is equally fake (although rapidly becoming less so). It is also interesting that he is maintaining Phillip as a cover when the rest of the party has basically given up and when Caleb isn't particularly notable
(32) Curious and clueless, and very good at leveraging cluelessness to gain information
(38) More dms should remember that low stakes fights like bar fights can be so much fun
(42) I appreciate that Fjord immediately turned to Nott to steal from the unconscious body.
(46) Worth your salt is actually a pretty great saying its just outdated now that salt is cheaper and common.
(1:01) Immediately after arriving is the best time to cause a commotion
(1:12) So many great moments in the Caleb Jester conversation. Caleb can never go home and has also committed murder. Jester explaining her confused feelings about Fjord. Caleb talking about Astrid for pretty much the first time. It's interesting seeing him talk about her with the benefit of knowing everything that has already happened and will happen
(1:17) Actually it does make a lot of sense that Cad would care about the fact the alcohol is literally poison
(1:19) "What part of the body is the amigo"
(1:25) little do they know. nothing is going to go to plan
(1:26) "How many teeth does a mermaid have" So many banger lines out of Caduceus this episode
(1:41) Sam you're not allowed to laugh so hard at the dumb code words when you were the one who started this xD
But also it is fucking ridiculous and I am also laughing
(1:51) Going to be a very important 300 ft
(1:54) They really did come up with this plan very fast and out of nowhere
(2:25) To be fair the plan was going very well until this moment
(2:37) Pirate Molly, so basically Kingsley. I love when they make decisions without thinking about it, always hilarious
(2:39) such a good use of phantasmal force. Or at least an interesting use of phantasmal force. I love the dark tow episodes so much
(2:42) Yhh not the most effective use of enhance ability but Taliesin did his best
(3:07) The journal is such a good find.
I always find it interesting how Caleb ends up (and cultivates) being the person doling out items and information. Both making himself useful and keeping control of every situation to the best of ability
(3:12) Fuck yes Liam, such a good fucking idea. And the dice 100% agree that Caleb is best and smartest. It's so clutch for everything that comes next. What sexier than wizards?!? NOTHING
(3:19) "but that's fake" …lol why do you care if you fuck over Avantika with real evidence versus fake evidence. You lie about literally everything
(3:22) Definitely a situation where Cad is being excessively cautious. He really is not good at being on the wrong side of the law
(3:26) Why does Jester seem so antsy or upset about this plan?
I'm so excited. We're getting close to the moment
Best cliffhanger in the show. I cannot imagine watching this live and having to wait a whole week
(3:36) It's interesting which people seem to be raring for a fight versus trying to get away clean. Fjord is down for a tussle, Nott seems to want to avoid it.
(3:39) It was actually a super impressive heist. Like I know they didn't plan it that way, but everything with Waldock and Zorrin just does a great job and muddying the whole situation up
(3:40) FUCK YESS CALEB! WALL OF FIRE HERE WE GO! Again Caleb is doing such a great job of taking control of the situation. The moment Avantika is about to get the upper hand, he radically changes the entire board to give them the edge. And bringing back worth it's salt. Lol full circle
I can't fukcing wait for next week
Going from The Mighty Nein to c2e42 for this week's Nein Again is some real whiplash, especially since I'm in the middle of Jester and Nott totally bungling their B&E attempt on Avantika's ship. Like aw, it's these same chucklefucks
Caleb Widogast and Jester Lavorre bouta have me crying in the club
twins
