if there was a list of things Matias lived on; liquor, take out, and coffee would be at the top of that list. And this particular morning, the man needed a good cup of joe to get him through the day he was surely about to have. Weird how he dealt with actual criminals for years, yet, an overbearing, and demanding client was the scariest thing he had seen in a long time. Making his way into Deja Brew, he'd get into line, ordering his dark roast within record time, before finding himself at a table; coffee and his art portfolio in hand. He'd take a moment to glance over the design he had to show in an hour, one more time, studying it; if there was anything he should fix, he wanted to see it now. Ripping his eyes away from the piece after what felt like an eternity, Matias would proceed to take a sip of his coffee. Without much reason, he'd glance off to his side, looking for nothing in particular. He'd turn his head straight, but something in him pulled his head back to the side. A familiarity in something, someone, pulled him off to side; and for a brief moment, he couldn't comprehend what he was seeing. Almost as though, he was seeing things. But the longer he looked, the more real she began. "Holy shit-" He muttered under his breath, before sitting down the cup of coffee, and swiftly standing from his chair. "Murph?" He asked, still unsure if he was really seeing his old partner or not. He was running on little sleep, this wouldn't be the first time he seen things that weren’t there. "What the hell are you doing here, agent?" The question was more playful then anything else, "I can't imagine this would be where you'd pick to vacation." Despite not having seen her in three years, nor really answering calls, it was still a pleasant surprise to have her before him.
