Langkawi island is one of the popular islands in Malaysia which attract tourists from overseas as well as the locals. It is known as the Jewel of Kedah.

Panorama Langkawi is a park with numerous adventure activities. It is a must-go attraction when you visit Langkawi island. In my opinion, it is not as adventurous as I thought, however cable car and sky bridge are worth going!

They have the steepest cable car ride on Earth and it takes us to the top of Machincang mountain. The view from the top is fascinating! Besides that, there is a post box by POS Malaysia at the top station. We are able to post a postcard from the top of the mountain! Isn’t that cool?

SkyBridge

About 700m above sea level, the SkyBridge is the longest free span and curved bridge in the world. There are few pieces of glass along the way which you can view the forests from the bottom of your feet. Remember to take off your shoes when you step on the glass! Entrance Fees: RM5 for adult, RM3 for child.

3D Art in Paradise

Featuring more than one hundred 3D paintings and artistically painted by renowned artists, 3D Art Langkawi is the largest 3D art musuem in Malaysia. I spent almost two hours there to take photos and enjoy the stunning paintings. Truly amazed! Entrance Fees: Malaysian adult RM30, child RM20 International adult RM38, child RM28

There are more activities in Panorama Langkawi like SkyRex, SkyDome, SkyGlide, SkyTrail, 6D Cinemotion, Time Travel and SkyAdventure Park. Apart from SkyTrail and SkyAdventure Park, I tried the rest of them and below are my quick reviews. SkyRex: Fun story line but the duration is short. SkyDome: Feeling dizzy after watching the video, uncomfortable seat. SkyGlide: Faster and more convenient way of visiting SkyBridge. Fees needed. SkyTrail: If you enjoy walking, take the walk and the entrance is FREE! 6D Cinemotion: The hall was a lil smelly when I was visiting and the glasses were full of sketches. Time Travel: Kids’ favourite I guess. It was quite boring for me. Haha SkyAdventure Park: Rent and ride ATV, fatbike or COMOS around the park with guidance. Of course, special rates are required for each transportation. It seemed fun but I did not get to experience it due to time constraint.

Taadaa! This is a photo taken from the glass on the SkyBridge. If you are Langkawi in the near future, please consider Panorama Langkawi. You only need to visit it once (’cause you will find it boring for visiting the second time. Hahaha) Choose any of the available packages that suit you to save more costs.

Tips for visiting Langkawi: 1. Cenang beach is the most attractive beach in Langkawi. Crowded area with breathtaking view. 2. Plenty of mamak stalls (Indian restaurant), few Chinese restaurants. 3. Black sand beach, small and you have to dig sand to see the black sand. I would rate the view for 3/10. 4. Accommodation in Langkawi is considered cheap. Affordable!

If you are planning a budget trip in Malaysia, 3D2N in Langkawi will do! After that, you can continue your journey to Penang Island, which is less than an hour flight from Langkawi. There are cheap street food and more fun attractions in Penang. Have fun!
