One time...... We did round posts and a round top rail with cables. The fabricator told me - Let’s not do that again! It was a mother f’er to get holes to line up straight! I saw this 12 year old install the other day and it looks brand new still. Cables still tight and powder coat looks fresh. So..... The screws all sheared off. Got 6 of the 8 screws out, and they all looked like that. . Didn't realize the cables put that much tension on the post. . I used a couple of heavy duty Bessey welding clamps to suck the post back up tight. Installed 4 4" lags, 2 each way, and an 8 inch Timberlock lag diagonally across the corner to tie it in. . If it tears out now, it will take the entire rail with it. I did the same on the opposite corner as a preventative. The cables are guitar string tight again. . #fixisin #fixedit #tight #cablerail #clamp #tight
