After almost a year of fundraising and preparation, the boys finally arrived in Cooperstown for the biggest tournament of the year, and boy did they come to play! The #CooperstownAllStarVillage tournament is a huge weeklong event that sees top level teams flying in from all around the country. This time there were teams from as far away as Texas and California. Players sleep on site in team bunkhouses and it’s a once in a lifetime experience as this is typically only open to 12u teams. Our Cadets played awesome and went 6-3 which was good enough to go 3 rounds deep into the championship bracket (equivalent of like the “sweet 16”) and finish 14th overall out of a field of almost 60 highly competitive and talented teams from around the country! They ended up being eliminated by the eventual 2nd place team in a very tight game that could easily have gone either way.
