Drabbles || Valah, Caede and Dolvigg
The Hyur leered closer, obviously drunk judging by the stench of his breath.
"I 'eard you bunnies like it wild, hm? How 'bout it, sugar?"
Caede's nose wrinkled and her ears lowered.
"No thanks. I'm... just here to get drinks for my friends."
"You gots big ears but you ain't listenin' to what I'm sayin'."
"No, I heard you. I just don't like your tone." she remarked glibly, turning her attention back to the bar.
Val's head perked up, her gaze had never left Caede from the second she got up and left the table. After all, Vieras were rare in the mainland so it wasn't hard to spot a pair of tall ears poking up from the crowd. She looked over to Vigg, seemingly uninterested and nursing his glass.
"Aren't you going to go and help your sister?"
His nose twitched and he met her gaze, moving towards Caede before he stirred his straw to shift the ice around and took another languid sip.
The Hyur frowned and grabbed her by the shoulder.
"Frigid bitch! No wonder they like skinnin' and stringin' you up out in Garlemald!"
And Val watched as Caede slipped from his calloused grasp easily, bringing up a knee to land square between his legs and make him double over. It was followed by a swift side-kick to his jaw, and in one fell movement, he was on the floor.
Blood pooled beneath his mouth as he lay there dazed, before Caede adjusted the straps of her trousers and turned back to the bar.
Val watched in stunned silence, before she heard Vigg again.
"Told you, she's got it."
