Favorite Character:  This is kinda hard to answer... my favorite character is Altair but only my version of Altair.  Canonverse Altair did some really fucking weird shit in Revelations and his whole backstory/future beyond AC1 just doesn’t sit with me.  I think Cloud Strife has been a character I adored since FF7 came out simple because he’s weak, self-loathing nerd who wants to be cool and eventually gives up and finds comfort in himself the way he is.  I relate a lot to him and have been psychoanalyzing him since I was literally 15.

Favorite Gameplay: Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed 1 and 2.  I fucking love really fast-paced parkour.  I find something incredibly exciting about it and some of the Dahaka chase sequences in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within are so fucking awesome and it is SO INCREDIBLY satisfying to parkour away from enemies and use your surroundings in new and interesting ways.

Most Emotional Scene:  I have to go with Last of Us on this one.  The whole game is an emotional roller coaster but I literally shed tears when Ellie is stabbing that creepy commune guy in the face after he tries to rape/molest/murder her.  When Joel pulls her back and she freaks out I just kind of lost my shit because that asshole is so freakishly tender in that moment and both of them have a festering vulnerability right then.  His use of the endearment ‘baby girl’ is heartbreaking.

Best Story:  This is like asking me to choose between my children (๑´╹‸╹`๑)

I’ve gotta go with FF7, Mass Effect (especially 2), Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne... and possibly Dragon Age Origins mostly because it has fantastic writing that makes up for a slightly unambitious story.

19, AltMal

They sit side by side in the bureau, the darkness of night kept at bay by only a single, flickering lamp and the moon. The heat of the day lingered in the stone at their back still, but it is inconsequential compared to the warmth where there bodies touched.

Malik leans against Altair’s side heavily, looking contented and at peace. It makes something tighten in his chest and, without thinking, he draws Malik closer.

There’s a wordless grunt of complaint, then a sigh as Malik settles against him again. He cracks his eyes open with some effort and Altair watches the rise and fall of his chest carefully.

“Stop that.” Malik’s voice is a rasp as he reaches across Altair’s lap to grab his hand as well as his attention. It works and Altair turns his wrist to lace their fingers together. “Do not brood. It doesn’t suit you.”

The words are barely a whisper and Malik’s eyes slide shut again, and, in the dim light of the night, Altair could almost fool himself into thinking Malik was only tired.

(It was in contrast to how things were just hours ago, when the bureau smelled cloyingly of blood and Malik’s face had been pinched in pain.)

“Malik.” Altair brings Malik’s hand up to press a kiss against his knuckles as Malik opens his eyes again and turns his head towards him. “Stay with me.”

Malik huffs. It almost sounded like a laugh, one that was small and weak in a way that did nothing but make the claw of doubt and fear tighten over Altair’s heart.

“Don’t be foolish. As if,” His breath stutters and Altair’s fingers tighten reflexively, “As if I could leave you alone.”

He wears a tired smile as he leans in and Altair meets him halfway, still clinging tightly to him as if by holding tight he could keep Maik here.

Hi Chamiryokuroi! I'm really curious about the backstory for your AC mafia AU, like what was the cause of Kadar's death? How was Malik able to win Altair's loyalty? (Although tbh I'm interested in whatever you'd like to share)

ok omg ok I have a full story in my head but it would take to fucking long to tell it so here is the answer to your questions.

what was the cause of Kadar’s death?

I like canon following AUs so basically it is exactly as in canon, Kadar, Malik and Altair are send to find the apple, than in thiss case is not a magical item but a weapon, think of it as a mass murder weapon, during said fight against the templars, that here is another mafia, Altair is send down a window of the building, he survives but decides against going back into the building since he can hear gun shots and it is obvious, for him, his companions are dead, so he leaves, and Kadar dies by a gun shoot, maliks manages to escape but in this AU he does not manage to get hold of the apple, still once he gets back Al-mulaim still conciders it a succes of sorts, since now they know exactly who has it in ther possession.

Malik able to win Altair’s loyalty?

Short reply, he does not, or not at first at least. When Altair gets back he plays this heroic story of himself and how his poor companions gave their lives for the organization, after all he is, along Malik, one of the top contestants to become the next boss, in this mafia they choose leader based on quality and not blood relation, but his plan of winning boss points go down when Malik shows up, wounded, arm almost useless and showing evidence of Altairs betrayal to he, to his brother and the tenants of their family. Altair cant dany any of this, and he takes his punishment because deep down the organization/family is more important to him than anything, he was raised in it and he loves it and would never do anything against it, and when he is downgraded to a noob level, when Malik is choosen as heir he accepts it, but what he cant accept is when Malik chooses him as his second in command, because it is not a way to ammend or forgive, this is Malik’s choosen punishment for him, in this way he is saying you will never be over me, you will never do anything without my commands, you will never be free again as long as I live and even once I die you’ll still be nothing, and will never get to sit as the boss of the family. 

So Altair hates Malik, and Malik hates Altair, and is not after a lot of hardships and near death experiences when they start to look at each other as brothers again.

For the meme: Dean/Castiel. Or Erik Lensherr/Charles Xavier, if you prefer. (Mostly because I'm guessing or at least hoping that someone else will ask for Altair/Malik)

Dean/Castiel - that one is hard for me because I don’t really ship it but it’s evident on the show that someone knows it’s a popular ship and likes to play into it.  The trouble is that both the show and the fandom seem to believe it can only be Dean/Castiel or Dean/Sam (and not even in a sex way but in any sense).  Like I already have troubles with the show’s treatment of Sam so when the fandom/show makes Sam less important to Dean/unworthy of Dean/whatever to get him out of the way it infuriates me.  Like, yes Dean/Cas could be a thing and it might even be an awesome thing but you can’t just be like OH LOOK CAS EXISTS, WHO THE FUCK IS SAM.  Dean has literally shaped his entire life around his brother.  Cas and his magical angel dick are not going to suddenly change that.  This is what bugs me about the pairing.  It bugs me immensely.  Also, Cas was responsible for Sam letting Lucifer out of the cage and Dean throwing the amulet away and I really have never forgiven him for either thing.  

Erik Lensherr/Charles Xavier i have shipped since I was like 8 and the cartoon from the nineties was on.  I just remember wishing they could have been friends and that whatever it was that had come between them (I forget now what I thought at 8) hadn’t ever happened.  With the movies, the intense respect and fondness that passes between them breaks my little black heart.  I ship them because they are on opposite sides of a war and something like that should fuck you up and make it impossible to maintain the sort of love/friendship they’ve had and it doesn’t.  Charles loves Erik as he is, not as he wishes he would be.  And Erik loves Charles as he is, not as he wants him to be.  And that’s profound and wonderful as well as heartbreaking and bittersweet.  Also like, I wouldn’t mind watching some First Class Erik/Charles making out.  Lets be honest.
