Imagine you have no idea what you did to this smaller entity for it to attack you, but it devours you on sight and struggles until you are part of it. Despite this, you're not dead and he's decided to keep you around. For what reason you don't know, but this almost feels like a mercy compared to what you know it could have done.

Perhaps it is lonely. Hell knows you are too. Both of you came into this world alone. Maybe you won't have to face it that way anymore.
