So I'm new to the blog (love the game btw!), clicked on the parents tag only to realize a whole bunch of past I can't finish in day. Is there a possible way author you could make a clear history and timeline? Past isn't really my thing but I'm dammmmn curious🧐🤨

Year -5: Roxana becomes a nymph; Henrik and Melanthe become friends

Year -4: Roland starts working for Nova Labs

Year -3: Isabella starts working at the embassy

Year -2: Lillian and Caiside get married; Melanthe, Henrik, and Julian start working for Nova Labs

Year -1: Isabella is kidnapped by Anetha and leaves NMC; Roxana meets Lucas; Alexa befriends Henrik and Melanthe and marries Julian

Year 0: MC/Aria/Aurelia/Theo are born; Celosia becomes a nymph

Year 1: Marcela is born; Ariana and Michael get married

Year 3: Brant and Danae get married; Anetha discovers Isabella’s child’s existence; Anetha fakes Celeste’s death; Julian kills Alexa; Delacroix Massacre happens

So what were Sera’s brothers like and what was her relationship like with them?

Their mother died when they were 2 and 4. Caiside was an objectively bad parent and was both neglectful and strict; thankfully, their mother’s parents were heavily involved in their upbringing until Anetha intervened when they planned to start a custody battle. Lillian married Caiside when they were 3 and 5 in an arranged marriage; although she never loved them, she was a much better parent than Caiside and would make sure they were healthy/safe/happy. They loved Lillian and never caught onto her indifference towards them. Sera was born when they were 4 and 6, and they were pretty indifferent to her because babies aren’t that interesting, but they pretended to like her because seeing her meant more time with Lillian. When Sera got older, they got annoyed at other people saying that she was creepy, etc, and they’d try to think funny things to make her laugh. They liked being around Uncle Brant, although their father didn’t let them spend any time with him outside of family events. Since they were children, they were generally left alone by the media, although they were always vaguely aware that their family was important and they were different from other children. As they got older, Caiside paid more attention to the older brother, as he was meant to be the heir, and Caiside tried to curry favor with Anetha through him; she was more interested in Sera, though, which could have led to resentment down the line. But in general, Sera’s brothers were cheerful, happy, playful children.

Did Brant and Casside always have a bad relationship? Or was the choking incident a really bad one time thing that happened?

They had a poor relationship before Brant was declared keeper, and it only got worse from there. Some explanation of their relationship below the cut.

Caiside was the loyal son who did everything right and never got any recognition for it; Brant was lucky enough to be born a keeper and have everyone adore him for breathing. Caiside would never be loved like Brant, no matter how successful he was. Anetha became the head of the Delacroix family instead of him, although it was his by birthright, and there’s speculation that she planned to have Brant replace him as heir. There’s also speculation that Caiside’s first wife, whom he genuinely loved, was murdered by Anetha, and he was later forced to marry Seraphina’s mother at her behest.

Are there Delacroix family tree? It's so hard to keep track all of them (I admit, I'm just curious if Sera and MC related or not really)

There’s an official family tree with 40+ people going back to Seraphina’s great-grandparents that I use when writing scenes referencing the family, which wouldn’t fit in a Tumblr post. The main people that matter in the family are listed below.

Caiside Delacroix: Sera’s father

Lillian Delacroix: Sera’s mother, married into the family

Brant Delacroix: Sera’s uncle, Caiside’s younger brother

Danae Delacroix: Sera’s aunt, married to Brant, Reyna and Renatus’ older sister

Anetha Delacroix: Sera’s great aunt, Caiside’s father’s sister

Sera and MC are never related.
