How would Brant interact with his fellow keepers (MC, Marcela, and Dominic) if he was still alive? Would he try to be a mentor to them or would he just acknowledge them at events?

AU in which Brant is the survivor of the Delacroix Massacre instead of Sera

Brant marries Melanthe and is Marcela's father/step-father depending on who you believe. Very doting. Marcela is never discovered as a keeper by the public, but Brant trains her to control her powers.

MC is still discovered as a keeper thanks to Patil's intervention. Before the reveal Brant had no reason to interact with them since Sera isn't their suitemate. After the reveal he tries to mentor them and keep them from the worst of NMC politics, but he won't do too much that would antagonize the other major players because he doesn't want to draw scrutiny/have anyone realize Marcela is a keeper. If Lysander and Isabella are MC's parents he has more involvement in MC's life because of his friendship with them.

Dominic is still with Frostbite and never really has the chance to interact with Brant. Brant would take on a similar role with Dominic as MC if given the chance.

Melanthe is tall and fat. His hair is dreadlocks, up in a bun. He’s wearing a yellow button-up and a dark blue vest with hearts on it. He’s also wearing dark blue dress pants and black dress shoes. End ID]

(ʘᗩʘ’) - That was certainly strange. Melanthe was quite certain the splash she’d heard was about the size of a very large rock. Rocks, however, didn’t just fall from the sky. Rolling over onto her back to sit up, she eyed where the water rippled outward, noting the point of impact. Nothing surfaced immediately which was also strange. Portals were really weird, a branch of magic in and on itself. They weren’t wholly physical, so when Alicia tried to grasp its borders in an attempt not to fall, there was no luck. When she tried to shapeshift, she wasn’t fast enough. 

For a whole second there was darkness, then light blinded her and Alicia struggled to grasp something, anything. She tried to breathe and found herself falling, then a splash and water in her lungs. It burned. She could hear Izitayel in her mind but she couldn’t make out the words, frantic and panicked as she was. She tried to swim, she couldn’t see anything, she didn’t know what was up or what was down. 

She was going to die. She was terrified. 

The world stopped and Alicia felt everything go still, her body included. She felt Izitayel’s presence around her, she managed to see the water around her. There was light, somewhere. 

Think. The Fallen asked of her. Swim. The surface is there. 

The first breath of air felt like sunshine. The second made her cough, the third got her thinking at last and she looked around, trying to make sense of where she was.

I was replaying the 2nd book and it got me wondering... did Roland know Marcela is a keeper before she got kidnapped? Was he trying to protect her while she was in his custody?

Explanation of Roland/Melanthe/Marcela's relationship below

Melanthe and Roland met when they were working together on the Constellation Project, and immediately hated each other. They formed a reluctant alliance against Julian, who they hated even more than each other, and eventually became friends.

Roland was like an uncle to Marcela, and looked after her on occasion when Melanthe was away. Roland knew that Melanthe had always been protective of Marcela, but he thought it was because of media speculation that Marcela was Brant's kid. Marcela was photographed with Roland at Nova Psychiatric at one point and it drove speculation that she was a patient there, which Leon references in book one. Marcela ended up befriending Celeste/Katia during her visits. She stayed with Roland permanently after her mother's death, and he was devastated after she was kidnapped by Frostbite.

So I'm new to the blog (love the game btw!), clicked on the parents tag only to realize a whole bunch of past I can't finish in day. Is there a possible way author you could make a clear history and timeline? Past isn't really my thing but I'm dammmmn curious🧐🤨

I had finish 3 time the second book ( one by parents) so if i correctly understand : lyzander was manipulated by roxana because he loved Isabella ; roxana is an horrible wife ; juliane is far beyand being a jerk . Am i good ?

Major spoilers below the cut for all parent routes

Roxana and Lysander both loved Isabella. Shortly after Isabella and Lysander became engaged, Anetha made Isabella a subject of the Constellation Project after Lysander found out the true aims of the project and tried to pull funding/support. Isabella left NMC and her child was born eight months later. She had minimal contact with Lysander and her friends from NMC, and feared for herself and her child’s safety. Roxana learned about what Anetha did to Isabella and decided to get revenge, conspiring with the perpetrators of the Delacroix Massacre. She also had a child with Lucas for the express purpose of having her kid be friends with Isabella’s, and as a backup plan to kill Anetha, since Roxana was subjected to the Constellation Project under Anetha’s orders and knew her child might be a keeper. 

Leading up to the Delacroix Massacre, Roxana stole holy oil from Nymph Isle and manipulated Lysander into helping her kill Anetha because of what she did to Isabella, convincing him to break the wards specifically protecting Anetha. Lysander didn’t realize doing this would destabilize all of the wards protecting the household; Roxana didn’t care as long as Anetha died. Roxana compelled Isabella not to talk to protect her, and compelled Lysander not to talk to tie up loose ends. The night of the Delacroix Massacre, Roxana brought her child to the Delacroix party then Nymph Isle. She met with her co-conspirator on Nymph Isle, then was murdered by her co-conspirator after she rejected him. Isabella was shocked and horrified at what happened and told Lysander to get out of her life.

Julian worked on the Constellation Project as a Frostbite spy and abused and mind controlled his wife. He made Alexa participate in the Constellation Project in the hopes that their child would be a keeper. Professor Ebner and Melanthe Sinclair were Julian’s colleagues working on the Constellation Project, and they found out about his treatment of Alexa. Melanthe got Brant to threaten Julian, and after that failed, the three of them conspired to kill Julian. Instead, Julian killed Alexa, wounded Melanthe and Henrik, then faked his own death, and a few months later helped perpetrate the Delacroix Massacre. He later became an instructor for Project Deimos (the Frostbite training program for children/teens) and later posed as Professor Tremblay.
