Hey my dudes, I have another WIP for my Calem x Alain Love Dramatic animatic!!

Second section complete! Now onto the second chorus!

This was pretty fun to make though I'm still VERY FAR from done! Once more, yup super rare pair inspired by a rp. In this section, they have a meet cute at a clothing store and Calem (who in our au is quite fashionable as he's both a performer and a model) helps him pick some clothes :))

Currently reworking on the storyboard for some of the sections. Hopefully it'll look nice. No idea when I'll be done with this but I'll be posting more WIPs as I go!

if i wanted to both read the wheel of time series and watch the show, which would you recommend i do first?

I am so profoundly biased I almost feel bad answering this question but: read the books first. it's a long series and it certainly has its issues (some of which have to do with the fact that it's a long series) but I personally feel like it's more rewarding to watch the tv show with the background of the books than it would be to read the books after watching the tv show.

but again, I'm so laughably biased on this one that like. you maybe should just ignore me and go with your heart. I enjoy the show but the books are so important to me in a deep and fundamental way.

85: Do you think you would be happier if you had been born a different gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, nationality or religion?

I mean, I probably wouldn’t be so fucked up if I hadn’t been born Catholic, but also I wouldn’t have the cool and sexy aesthetic that comes from existential dread from birth, so it all evens out in the end. of course, being Catholic and from the North of Ireland, I’ve suffered a lot of things I wouldn’t have ordinarily had to go through if I hadn’t been Catholic (and Irish, with a very Irish name) -- mainly you know, violence and oppression and threats and intimidation and police/military brutality and also my friend getting full-on murdered -- but at the same time I do know that I have it a lot better than most people when it comes to gender and race/ethnicity, if not where I grew up then certainly now I’ve moved away from that area. plus I’m a big Fenian Bastard™ so I can’t say I mind my existence pissing off Brits that much.

as for sexuality, I’m bisexual and I honestly would not change that for the world. I love being bisexual. it just suits me and I love doing my part for the chaotic bi stereotype.

89: If you lost all your memories, would you have the same personality?

probably not, because 90% of my personality is fictional characters I’ve internalised. I do have faith that I would still be me, though, and knowing me I would find my way to the exact same books and other media and end up internalising all the same characters. even so, it would obviously be in a slightly different way.

I think some things would be pretty solid in my personality, though. across the board I’ve always been very creative, very determined, very curious, and very stubborn. I don’t think those aspects of myself would change even with no memories of having them or events that have curated them or backed them up. it would probably be a case of same ingredients, different dish.

92: Do you speak multiple languages? Which do you dream in? What language would you want to learn?

I’m fluent in English, passable in French, and close to passable in Russian and Irish! I dream mostly in English, but I’ve been dreaming in Irish increasingly often lately and I do occasionally have dreams in Russian, too. I guess French is just too busy to visit me on the dream plane, because I’ve been learning it since I was 11 and I’ve never had a single dream in French.

once I’m at a decent point with French, Russian, and Irish, I’m going to be picking up German and Arabic. then after that I’ll be on to some of the others on my huge list of Languages I Must Speak So Help Me God.

which Loki movies, in your opinion, should I watch to get a better understanding of the character? i watched the show and was like. hmm. cool dude, would love to see some more of him

oh man I love this question. I love this question because I feel like depending on who you ask you'd get different answers, but you asked me, so I'll give you mine!

first off, definitely go to Thor (2011) first. that's sort of...the defining Loki movie, it lays out his backstory and sort of... ~villain origin~ and it's also just big sweeping family drama with a coating of superhero origin story. if you watch no other Loki materials other than the show I'd say to watch this one.

the next one I'd put down is (and this might be controversial!) actually The Avengers (2012) and that's a movie where he plays the main antagonist (the only movie where he does), so I think it's a good one to see that aspect of his character, and you can get a lot of juicy shit out of his character in that movie if you're watching him. This was the movie that made me fall in love with Loki as a character, actually. It also is valuable as a lead-in to the point of canon where series!Loki branches off from the main MCU canon timeline version.

if you want to keep going...see, this is where it gets dicey because for me personally, The Dark World (2013) is like...I think one of the strongest movies as far as Loki's character beats go. It is also, in other terms, a not very good movie. when I watch this movie I'm watching it for the Loki material and pretty much nothing else. so this is one where I'm like...personally I love it but I recognize that it is probably not an enjoyable watching experience if you're not me and able to ignore vast swathes of bad material to focus on the stuff you care about.

and honestly if you have come this far I do recommend watching Thor: Ragnarok. I personally think it's the weakest Thor movie as far as Loki things go, and it's definitely a tonal departure from the first two in a way that is not really my bag. but it is a movie that is very fun to watch, and a lot of people like it a lot, and if you've watched The Dark World then this movie very much carries Loki's character arc through from the end of that movie forward through to a really satisfying place I never thought I'd get to see.

and then they kill him and I'm bitter about it, but whatever.

I do not think you need to watch either Infinity War or Endgame; he dies in the first five minutes of the former and you pretty much saw the extent of his involvement in the latter at the start of the series.

that is my .02 cents. tl;dr, I'd say the most important are Thor and The Avengers.

Loki fandom is manifold and varied and full of vicious infighting, so others would probably have different answers, but again - you asked me, which is also why you got a five paragraph essay response to a simple question.
