Here's another piece of art of Tristan from 2016. I actually quite like the mix of sketch lines and colour.
I posted progress pictures of this a while back, but I want to post a picture of just the final, since tumblr would hide this and most of the images. I feel like a lot of people might not have actually seen this if they were swiftly scrolling by.
This is a picture of my 34th Sketchbook (SK34), when she was brand new. I finished and shelved her on Feb.21/22, and she now looks more weather beaten than this. The cover features my character Tristan with a rainbow plume/ribbon come out of his helmet.
Would anyone like a side by side picture of what she looks like now?
Forgive me. This is the only video I have that shows off how big this thing is, and how it unfolds. It's on my wall and I am not taking it down to shoot this without the shakie cam and the tiktok music.
Just enjoy this old piece of art that I did back in college of Tristan and Ysette.
Progress on an old art college project I did. The project was to incorporate words into the picture, so I put an oath in Tristan's ribbon.
This was the start of me drawing Tristan's ribbon insanely long in illustrations.
Part 3/3 of my old sketchbook covers -- this is out of date, I'm onto SK35 now, so that's 4 missing covers. But don't worry, you'll see them eventually!
Alrighty, that's all the art from Sketchbook 33, so here's progress pics of me working on SK34 (Sketchbook 34).
I digitally sketch my cover, print it out, and then paint and gold leaf it.
Spoilers: This sketchbook has been shelved for over a year now. I'm 3/4 done SK35. But we'll get to that in the future!
Here's a sketch of Tristan, his head is too big. That's because I sketched this with a yellow gel pen, so erasing wasn't an option! I then inked it, and used a couple pencil crayons for colour.
