Fane hummed softly as he headed towards the diner. He'd given Sutton some space to work in the kitchen. They'd been complaining about bread since the week started, so Fane figured it was in both of their best interest to give them space to work. Fane promised to bring something back.
So he took the bus into the city and found a diner to go to. Fane liked eating at cafes. They usually had larger portions, and we're as expensive as a regular restaurant, and short of an all-you-can-eat buffet, it was the best bang for his buck.
Fane settled at the empty table and ordered a plethora of breakfast foods and a few dinner items. He didn't have to wait too long. Diners were remarkably fast, even as this one started to fill up with people. He wasn't paying too much attention as he cut into his first stack of pancakes, but he heard someone clear their throat, and he looked up, fork halfway to his mouth. "Yeah?" he said dumbly before putting the bite into his mouth. "Oh, did you... you can share the table. I didn't realise it was so packed in here."
