In a time of great spiritual desert, God used a desert to draw me close. I returned to my first love. Through the beauty of nature, he restored my passion and placed my feet back on the solid path.

My early morning walks through these meadows and caliche stone outcroppings, with the White Tails and Javelina, are some of the most precious moments of my life. Refreshed. Renewed. Restored.

As the wind of change blows once more, my only sadness is in knowing that this desert meadow will not last the year’s end. My comfort comes in knowing its impact will last a lifetime.

Citric acid dissolution on pyrite - the acid removes caliche (a coating of calcium carbonate) from the surface. The calcium dissolves and the CO2 is given off as a gas making it bubble.
