Calm, for the moment.
Its quiet! There's nothing but the sound of the fan off in the black of the house. The crickets chirp and the half moon light sits drearily upon the wooden shades.
The darkness rests sorrowfully in the air. The heavy weight of loss looms. Almost as if the silence of darkness is trying to apologize for what has brought you here. It knows the truth. What thoughts rattle through your mind. It feels the pain you endure. "Can we be empty? Can we be calm? For a moment?" It asks?
My breath slows and my mind teeters. My body lay restless for the silence of darkness can not hide the inner struggle for understanding. I. Mangle my way around the lonely bed until finally it asks. " can we be numb? Can we be empty? Can we be calm for a moment?"
Toes tapping, fingers flailing. The heart stops! " I feel your pain and want to help i ask you can we be silent? Can we be still? Can we be calm just for a moment?"

Calluna have released their debut single ‘Calm Inside’, a powerful yet intimate story of reckless romance by singer and guitarist Heather Britton and her band.
Drenched in opulent harmonies, shoegaze riffs and dream-pop synth, ‘Calm Inside’ is visualized aesthetically in the strikingly abstract and bold self-directed video, featuring Heather doused in blue paint, writhing hands and seaweed in the bath. View it below.
Calluna, meaning ‘wild heather’ formed early last year with their first show packing out Luv Luv Luv Lion Coffee Records Shop in Clapton. The project brings the raw attack of soaring vocals, chiming angular guitar and euphoric synth resulting in a carnal, emotive live set. The free entry single launch takes place at The Shacklewell Arms in Dalston this Thursday, May 3 with special guests.
