This has been an area I have wanted to write about for quite some time, and as much as I am fearful of the judgment I may recieve from others, I feel it is my duty to write something on this matter. Let's say after using the app since the age of 8...that one day the app breaks down and malfunctions, and that child (now an adult) finds themselves in the real world, making choices for themselves without the use of an App. They want to try a new food but feel they can't because the app is not there to make sure it is the correct amount and correct ingredients for them. They have totally lost track of when they are actually hungry or full, due to relying on the app to tell them and give them times to eat instead. They do more activity one day compared to their usual activity, but feel they cannot eat to satisfy themselves due to not understanding that they might want different foods on different occasions. Even fruits and vegetables come in different sizes and shapes wherever you go, so they no longer know which size is correct and decide it may be best just to avoid them altogether.... OK this is a very extreme and kind of weird example....but I write about it now because this is essentially the type of thing being promoted to children as young as 8 years old. This is essentially the equivalent to telling a child that food is scary and dangerous. It is telling them that they cannot trust their own sense of hunger and they therefore need to rely on a "robot" to calculate and tell them how much to eat. #edrecovery #mentalhealthsupport #eatingdisorderawareness #orthorexia #dietculture #psychology #mentalhealth #ww #calorietrackers #kurbo https://www.instagram.com/p/B1bZD7yH9U8/?igshid=1ann7rd52wrse
